Tubes "filled in" voids to help stabilize the Bee hotel. Just slipped them in between the chunks of drilled firewood pieces. A dab of glue on a few helped hold loose ones together.

These tubes don't have the pinched end like some. Just be aware of that, didn't cause a problem for me as I use a house that has the back so the tubes just sit up against it.

Pros: very thick / almost no wasp stings through the tubes Cons: do not unravel well or almost at all so it was nearly impossible to open these tubes to remove the cocoons for cleaning.
