Works as advertised. And it's quick, too. You can finish a pack of 20 in just about under 2 minutes. And like other reviews say, it's a noisy little bugger. But it is efficient, if a bit pricey. But I roll my own cigarettes to save money, and all that tobacco which drops out the tips into your box or pack is throwaway. Not much, admittedly, but in the long run, adds up. RYO is messy, but cleanup and adding back to the stash saves. So in that context, this gadget will eventually pay for itself. If that is your goal, then I can recommend this unit for you. It is small and compact, the power unit is about the same size as the gadget itself. It provides plenty of power cord at each end so you won't feel cramped when working. I recommend rolling all your cigs you need first, then finishing them with the Leaf Only Finisher. This is the most efficient way to use it, because once you turn that switch on at the rear, "go baby, go!" until you're done.

I was a little hesitant to order this, but I'm glad I did. This little machine does great with trimming excess tobacco coming out of the cigarette, while wrapping the tube paper at the end, thus sealing up the cigarette. No more wasted tobacco in my case, my pockets or wherever I lay the pack down. This is a definite buy for the reasons stated above, but it is also satisfying to use in an OCD kind of way.

I feel like most people will note 3 things when they first use this. 1) Out of the box it sounds awful when turned on 2) it makes a mess and 3) it actually does a pretty good job doing what it suppose to do. If you are here like me you likely trim your RYO Cigs for a clean look and wondering if there is a better way. This is the better way! Just needs some help. The sound it made out of the box was like 10 dentist drills and made me wonder if I could even use it but can confirm this stopped during the first use, not sure that meant the oil spread or it hit a harmonic. Either way, much better now but Leaf Only needs to QC these! The mess it makes I fixed with a thin clear plastic guard. Makes a world of difference but also wonder why at this price Leaf Only didn't consider this. Lastly, it does do a wonderful job of cleaning and slightly beveling the ends of the paper inwards to keep tobacco in and take a fraction of the time as using a scissors.

This is an AMAZING & EXCELLENT product. A little messy, sound can be a little annoying and loud. EASY FIX: put it into a container which has a lid, make holes in both ends, one for the electric cord, one to put the cigarette in, to close it. EXCELLENT PRODUCT!!!

It does what it’s supposed to do but after using it, it’s super overpriced for what it is. I don’t know if I would purchase something like this again. Hind sight is 20/20. It’s really not even remotely necessary to spend so much to “close” the end of your smoke. It makes a mess and plus after rolling a cartons worth of my smokes I’m just ready to be done and really just too lazy to use this. It’s a great finisher but totally not worth 50+ bucks nor is it a necessity for anyone that RYO.

Wow ! this Leaf Only cigarette finisher is really great, I should have had it years ago. Glad I found it, I wasn't sure if it was going to workout but I figured I would try it, Glad I did. I don't know why some people are saying it is noisy, the one I got is very quiet. The way I process my cigarettes is, I inject the tobacco in the tube with my Powermatic 4+, which has been a great machine for over 2 years, Powermatic 2+ before that. (I just ordered a Powermatic 3+ it will be here next week) It leaves a little bit of tobacco sticking out the end , then I pull a little bit of that out , tap the filter end three or four times to pack it down, then I pinch the ends over so tobacco won't fall out. Now with this finisher after I inject the tobacco in the tube I pull the little bit out of the end then , just stick it in the finisher, no need to pack it down , it makes a great cigarette every time. There is no worries about any mess, I have my machine, tubes, tobacco and everything in a kitchen drawer that came from a old kitchen cabinet, been using it for years. It is perfect for the job ,I just put the drawer on my lap with everything contained plug in the machine and the finisher , and make my cigs while I watch TV. The drawer is 20" long X 14" wide with 3" high sides, It gives me plenty of room for everything I need in there and the sides being 3 inches keeps everything contained. With smooth contact paper in the bottom of the drawer , gathering up all the extra tobacco with the credit card is easy peasy. I'm getting tendonitis in my thumbs and wrist from from using the lever on the machine and pinching the ends of the cigarettes so I think this is going to help with that a lot, along with the new automatic machine with no lever With the finisher it is even faster than the way I was doing it. A Simple little gadget that works perfect for what it is made for. I would definitely recommend it to anyone that rolls their own.
