    • the hawkmatic 2 is the best injector on the market! hands down!!
i had been using a manual injector from another company that i found on amazon. it was like hard work and effort every time i used it and half the time the same tubes i always had used. weren’t helping because of damage to the delicate tubes. needless to be said, it was a very frustrating experience and im so very glad that i found the hawkmatic 2! on my first try it spit out the most perfect personal blend of my whole leaf tobacco that i have to get rid of every little stem so it takes some time and patience but once i got it down , every single tube attached to my hawkmatic 2 on the first try and each one was a delicious little perfectly packed cigarette treat. i would recommend the hawkmatic above all of the other electric injectors on the market and to anyone, those new to the r.y.o. scene or anyone well versed in this world of big tobacco boooo! because they will never regret buying these products and only paying cents on a dollar compared with any other big tobacco company per pack. do the math. trust me. i speak only the truth about this great solid company! thanks for everything and keep up the great work! cheers :) ... show more

    • The HK2 is a Powerhouse!
I researched injectors thoroughly and after borrowing my neighbor’s Powermatic 2 for a week, I decided to go with the HK2 because of the reviews and the fact that the Powermatic 2 is stupidly finicky rolling 100mm smokes. I’m so glad I did, as this machine is a powerhouse! While the Powermatic 2 jammed a decent amount, I’m 2000 smokes into the HK2 and it hasn’t jammed ONCE! It’s a breeze to use and even comes with extra little “bumpers” (the part that holds the tube while the injector is filling it). The cleaning tool alone is worth buying the HK2 if you’re on the fence. The HK2 is solidly made, “feeling” more sturdy than the Powermatic 2. I can’t believe how much money I’m saving and I’m using superior tobacco and tubes that are without the chemical additives of the cigarettes I used to smoke. I never knew how BAD those cigarettes tasted before rolling my own! If you’re like me and can’t/don’t want to quit smoking, then this machine is your ticket into the RYO world. The HK2 makes the process so easy you’ll wonder what kept you from doing it and saving BIG BUCKS for so long! ... show more

    • Loving it! Saves me lots of $$$$
I only found out about RYO recently. Retail cigarettes are so expensive and as cost-of-living has risen for me, I needed to find ways to save money. For roughly the price of 5-6 retail packs, this Hawk-Matic HK2 Electric Cigarette Injector is well worth it. It is easy to use and after some practice, I've learned how much pressure to use to get a consistent amount of tobacco distributed evenly in each injection. Too tight, and it doesn't draw well, too loose, and the cigarette is too airy. For 100mm tubes, I use ~0.9 grams of tobacco. For 85mm tubes, I shoot for 0.8 grams (100mm tubes weigh ~0.3g, 85mm tubes ~0.2g). After only a month, my cigarettes are perfect. Another benefit of RYOs is that pipe tobaccos have far fewer chemicals. I've never understood why retail cigarettes contain so many toxic additives. Smoking is still very bad for you, but I can't ever seem to quit permanently. At least I can now buy all-natural tobacco. Incidentally, My smoking rate has decreased slightly. It's also nice that I can adjust my smokes as I like. Sometimes, I like a bit of menthol; sometimes, I like a stronger or lighter taste. Anyway, now I have far more options for so much less $. Assuming the HK2 lasts ~3 years, each pack of 100s costs just under $1 and even less for 85s unless I use pricier tubes like Kasmire. This includes tobaccos, tubes, shipping, and amortized cost of the HK2. I suppose I could save further by purchasing tobacco in 5lb bags, but I’m still experimenting with different tobaccos and tubes. Tips: - For 100mm tubes, always pack the ends first using slightly more pressure than the middle. - For 85mm tubes, pack the butt end first (again slightly more pressure). I have small hands and using my pinky to block the other end of the filling area gives me the perfect length for these shorter tubes. - I clean it after 40-50 tubes or at the end of each session, if fewer. It takes only a minute and the only time it jammed on me was because I didn't clean it. - To keep tobaccos fresh, I vacuum seal mine in 1/2 gallon mason jars with oxygen absorbers and store them in a cool, dark place. Time will tell if this works well. If it does, I’ll start getting the 5lb bags (｡^‿^｡). ... show more

    • It does an excellent job.
I kinda messed up and produced 140 (Yes, the machine has a counter) without testing each time I packed a smoke. It will take some practice fo find the absolute correct technique. Don't make the same mistake I did,, do a couple and try to see if the tightness of tobacco is to your liking before you prepare a large quantity. I packed 140 without trying the finished product,, not a good idea at all. However, the machine makes it EASY and QUICK to create a carton. I must give credit to one of the, if not the best, roll your own machines. I have tried other electric and manual roll your own, and they do not even compare to this well made machine. What more needs to be said? The price can't be beat either. If you have thought about rolling your own cigs, this is the way to go!! In my area a pack goes for around $8.50-$11.00 per pack..Rolling your own you can get that down to $1.50 per pack..So put out the $60.00 for this machine and you will not be unhappy!! ... show more
