Five stars is based on how inexpensive they are. I was considering four stars, but they are at least as good as I expected based on the price. If they were $20 each, I'd surely give them a much lower rating, because they are cheap plastic frames, and half of them have the mouldings lined up imperfectly. But they work, they are very easy to use, very lightweight, and from a distance you probably won't notice they are plastic (at least for the white ones I bought). I've seen uglier frames that were more than twice the price. You can not use these to frame stretched canvas. Nor will they work with the canvas panels that have the canvas wrapped around the edges of the panel, because the opening is exactly 8x10" and anything slightly bigger won't fit. But super easy to frame paintings on canvas sheets or paper. If you have a lot of empty wall space, and a lot of photos or artwork that you don't think is worthy of more expensive frames, then buy a bunch of these! At these prices, you can afford to use them as temporary decorations and throw them out if you buy better frames in the future. They are easy to throw out because they hardly weigh anything and there's no glass to break.

I needed a lightweight frame for some paper art that I had. This is my 2nd batch of frames, as I got a first batch a couple of months ago. A couple of weeks ago I finally put together & hung what I wanted from those. They worked perfectly. I knew I'd buy another set. When I bought this batch I saw that they came in different colors. I had already bought black, so I bought black again. These are lightweight plastic frames with plexiglass covers, not glass. But the plexi has peelable scratch protection on both sides. Once peeled and set up your pictures will look really good. Another great thing is these come with the hooks. they are plastic hooks with 4 small nails/tacks that you hammer into the wall. I accidently broke off the hook part on one, and had to take it out of the wall and it chipped my wall, then I had to do a quick plaster repair. Once in there, they are in there so be sure of where you're hanging. A level helps. I think anyone who buys these will be pleased.

We love these for our family gallery wall in our hallway! The frames are super lightweight and I’m not worried about glass shattering on the floor since they have the plastic instead. Just be careful when holding it as you place the back on because I accidentally cracked part of the plastic on the front of one frame. Other than that, no issues! We get compliments all the time! Such a good price for these!

I was looking for a nice black 11x14 frame to display my County Fair winning photos in, but without heavy glass, and these are perfect! They arrived very well packaged, the plastic is high quality with protective film on both sides you just peel off before you use. I love these!! They are lightweight but very sturdy and you can hang horizontal or vertical. I will be buying more!

I ordered three sets of these frames for my infants playroom. When hung up, the quality looks so amazing. You'd never know that they were plastic and so reasonably priced. The only problem was I opened them up, put the artwork in and started to hang them when I found out that one package was missing the hooks! I asked in the question section but did not get a response from the seller. Opted not to take them apart to send back. Two hooks also broke. Bummed!

I do have one complaint but it did not keep me from using them. They seemed to all have a little damage on one side. They were packaged well and the box didn’t have damage but each one I opened and took the plastic out of the frame, removed the protective plastic fill from each side there were little cracks. Not visible once in the frame. I just used clear tape and carefully wrapped that side to prevent further damage and completed my projects. No one can tell. The price was so good I think I’ll probably still order them again and take my chances. Hence why I did not return them. Good luck

These frames are very easy to mount your artwork or pictures. They are all plastic but look great on the wall. I bought 2 boxes of them , 10 frames total. I mounted all my artwork in the first nine frames and when I went to use the last one it had been smashed and was broken. I asked amazon if they could replace just the damaged one or give me a credit for the damaged one and of course that would make to much sense . I' m not going to remove my art work in four frames to send one box back so I decided to keep them.

These affordable frames come with a plastic insert instead of glass. I actually like that some there is no mess if the frame happens to fall and it makes them light weight. The back has rotating hinge type holders that keep the backing board in making it easy to remove and place the pictures in. As an amateur artist, I appreciate an affordable way to display my work.
