I originally picked this carseat because of the great reviews and overall look. I didn't think I'd be as impressed as I was when I opened it. The material is very soft and has tons of comfort. The foam material underneath almost feels like a tempurpedic mattress. Overall the style is very simple, yet classy. The carseat itself without the base being attached is a little heavy but the product itself I'd say is totally worth every penny. Product is great, however the the placement was not. The product was delivered at the end of my driveway. We were lucky enough to grab the package because we were home, had we been somewhere else the package could've been stolen.

    • It's a little heavier than I would like, but hey
It's a little heavier than I would like, but hey, it's car seat - none of them are light as a feather. It also takes up quite a bit more room in the car than I imagined - again, I'm sure this is not an issue limited to this particular seat, but to the entire rear-facing car seat universe. Outside of that, I can't complain too much. It is a bit tricky to get the seatbelt harness to unlatch once the lil one is strapped in. It feels like I have to push way too hard on the button to get it to release, and means that I am putting pressure on her when I do so - even with a hand (or a few fingers rather) between the buckle and my baby. I'm working on technique to help get around that issue. The ease of snapping it in and out of the base is unbelievable though. So easy. ONce you get the base secured that is. That may take a little bit of trail and error depending on your vehicle and whether or not you plan to use a seat cover to protect your car seat's surface from the bottom of the base (which we did on my wife's car, but not on mine). Still, pretty easy to get that taken care of, just means you need to check it from time to time to make sure it has't compressed the car seat cover enough to make the base a tad bit loose (has never gone from green to red - but has show a red line from time to time on the "tightness indicator"). Installing this in my car, however, was a nightmare. MY fault for driving a Mustang. To all you out there with a car that has little to no back seat room, rest assured the seat will fit - although very very tight - and to be honest, probably not meeting ALL of the manufacturer's suggested space between baby seat and back of front seat requirements if you are trying to have an adult riding shotgun comfortably. But installing the base will be a major pain in the a double-s because you have virtually no room to maneuver yourself on top of the damn thing to make sure it is secured tightly (ie - to make that "tightness indicator" go from red to green). As I said, it can be done, just be patient and do some stretching before you try to get it in there because you're going to have to play contortionist to apply the pressure needed to lock everything in place. But back to the good stuff. It's also very nice that you can rock the seat when you put it down. So if baby gets a little fussy, you can start to gently, or quickly if you wish, rock her. And you can do so with your hand or your foot. Convenient. But that's, again, probably something most if not all baby seats will do. Anyway, yeah it's a bit pricey, but having seat that 1 - looks great, 2 - fits both of our cars, 3 - snaps into the stroller with no adaptor nonsense necessary, and 4 - has strong safety ratings, I'd say it's worth it. ... show more

I bought two of these car seats , due to our family is expecting twin boys in September. So borrowed my sisters 1 yr old to test it out. My niece seemed to love it, she was sleeping in 5 mins down the road. In my opinion it’s the Range Rover of Car seats !!! Literally, it matches my car perfect inside and I drive a Range Rover. I absolutely love the look of the car seat! The white pull shade on top and the light gray fabric inside with a black base for a very sheek look -it’s beyond classic!! Very easy to install!! Comes fully put together, all you have to do open the package and buckle it in to the car! It looks like it has more airbags then my entire car- which I absolutely LOvE!!! I’m all about safety for my twin boys !!! This car seat definitely gives me total satisfaction when it comes to safety. The title reads Mesa but it is the Mecca of car seats if your asking my opinion! It is just so beautiful looking, the best I have EVER seen on the market- to this day!! My oldest children are 13 & 17 years old, so it’s been awhile since I bought a car seats. But they have changed so much of the years. Now a days they have way better options as far as safety and fashion goes, which if your a mom who likes her fabrics, come this way! !     • Fantastic seat but pilly fabric

CONS: I really like this car seat overall but I am disappointed that after relatively infrequent use in the last five months, the fabric around my baby’s feet is incredibly pilly. Pretty disappointed in that for the price. It was difficult to fit my chunky newborn in at first because the straps wouldn’t loosen enough. To overcome that I had to unclip the portion of the strap used to tighten from under the front of the seat. PROS: As far as everything else, it is very easy to install, my baby seems to like it, and the headrest is easy to adjust. Easy to move in and out of stroller. Baby had a blowout in the seat and it was not overly difficult to remove and clean the fabric. There were also no stains even with the light color. In general I am happy with this car seat and would recommend it but I wish a few things would change. ... show more
