I believe the listing makes it clear that these feeders are different sizes- one is SLIGHTLY smaller- but despite that, the smaller one still holds a good amount of hay! The hooks fit nicely over the bars of a wire cage which has made them nice for when I am traveling with my rabbits and want to provide them hay for the road. The paint/coating has held up with no chipping or flaking. The bars are close enough to prevent the rabbits from pulling out large clumps and wasting a lot of hay, but not so close as to make it difficult for them to eat from. I do recommend you use the little clips that they come with, as my rabbits have figured out they can pull the feeders up and off of where they're hung. SOLID & WORKS GREAT FOR KEEPING THE HAY FROM BEING WASTED. JUST WISH THE BOTTOM WAS SLIGHTLY TILTED DOWN IN THE FRONT SO THE LEAVES WOULD COME OUT EASIER FOR THE BABIES. GOOD VALUE SINCE THEY CANT EAT IT.

I have these in my rabbitry and they are well made, solid hay feeders. Easy to load up with hay and hang inside their cages. They have hooks on the top AND also coms with 2 clips per feeder to adequately secure to the cage. Rabbits grab the hay and if it’s packed in; some times their tugs to pull out a piece of hay to eat can cause it to unhook from the side of the cage. For this reason, I use the clips to keep the hay feeders in place and from falling off the side of the cage. Have purchased several and would again, if needed. These work pretty well. They are sturdy and either very adjustable or very easy to secure in place (with the mini carabiners). Our bunnies don’t much like using them as they are a change from what they are used to, but they are able to use them.

    • Do not use these racks for young or small rabbits!

Be careful buying this for small bunnies or bunnies less than 6 months old. We lost a precious 4 month old rabbit that jumped up on the rack and got her back legs caught and she broke her back trying to get out before we were able to rescue her. She lived but was very crippled and she had to be put down. Another rabbit around the same age got her front paw caught and we were able to save her. She broke her leg but it healed up and we still have her today. So please don’t use this kind of feeder rack for small or young rabbits. We raise California White, New Zealand White, D’Argents and Tamuk rabbits. They are okay for only our mature full grown rabbits. They weigh anywhere from 9-13 lbs. ... show more

I like the size of these. But they don't stay on very well and I've had the carabiners that are included get stuck a few times. Capacity: These hold enough hay for my guinea pigs and bunny and helps cut down on some of the waste. Sturdiness: Seems like these are made a a fairly sturdy material.
