This is a nice durable and thick hitch attachment for a zero turn mower. Most dont have a ball to put an actual trailer on but this one does which is what sold me on it. The hitch fit well and functions exactly how I wanted it to. I can back up to the trailer lower it down and pull it around the yard collecting debris and such before I mow. I couldn't ask for a better hitch attachment and I definitely recommend it

Hitch is very heavy duty. Honestly think this hitch would probably work bolted to a truck. Also, the included hitch pin is magnetic, which is a plus, and I don't think in mentioned in item description.

Installed this on my toro timecutter. From the photos you can see that it doesn't line up perfectly with the pre-stamped holes in the mower. I was able to install it offset and use the OEM bolts from the machine. The bolts that were supplied with the hitch did not fit on my machine (too big). The hole for the sleeve hitch pin is much larger than the supplied sleeve hitch pin so if you are pulling something with a sleeve hitch it is going to bounce and rattle around a little bit. I installed mine in the orientation shown in the product listing, but i'm debating flipping it upside down. I dont know how much i trust the welds on the gussets that are installed on the plate. If it is installed "upside down" the material will be in compression instead of the welds being in tension. I believe this will make the product last much longer. Overall build quality seems solid for what you get. I would have really liked if the holes were stamped in the correct locations for my mower but its not the end of the world and really won't affect the function of it too much. I would be careful assuming that your mower can handle the weight of whatever you are moving around. This hitch is much heavier gauge than the metal on the back of my mower.

The hitch seems to be very well made and of quality materials and workmanship. First thing I have to say is kudos to the manufacturer for making an all in one hitch that covers use of both a ball and a magnetized hitch pin for towing and includes both items as part of the sale. The hitch seems to be very durable but remember this is not made to attempt pull a 1500 lb trailer first off I didnt see any tongue weight restrictions on the posting but I'm sure it's probably way less than 500 lbs plus zero turn mowers weren't made to pull stuff, they're made to mow with unlike garden tractors and some well made regular riding mowers that manufacturers know your gonna pull stuff with. Sure a small trailer 5ft×10ft with zero to minimal cargo should be safe to pull around a flat-ish yard with minimal to no incline. A small dump cart is really to me the maximum that anyone should be pulling with a zero turn mower in my opinion with any amount of weight in it. The hitch gives you (2) different size bolts and nuts to mount it with, both longer and shorter making it a more universal application. It was an easy installation right on my Husqvarna Z248F mower with the existing placement holes. Just be aware you may have to drill (1) to (2) holes if your mower doesn't have mounting holes or the existing holes don't line up. I did add a couple nylon washers on each side of the bolts to protect the powder coating from getting scratched when tighten them down. It worked great pulling my small dump trailer and grass spreader and I loved the magnetized hitch pin as it makes for very quick connect/disconnect of each item. I also used it to move my empty 5×10ft utility trailer just to try it out and it worked fine. Overall I would definitely recommend the hitch setup to anyone with a zero turn mower who wants the capability of being able to move/tow things and it's an easy install that includes everything you'll need for pulling/towing except washers if you chose to use them of course. I recommend buying nylon to prevent scratching. Just remember residential zero turn mowers are not made to pull large amounts of weight with as the transmissions will probably not last long if you do and they're expensive to replace. But small amounts, say under 500lbs including the trailer weight should be ok and again on flatter grounds, no inclines. I can't speak to the capabilities of commerical zero turn mowers transmissios as I've never owned or researched the towing capabilities of one.
