  • Works good
I bought this specifically to remove gel glued press on nails. I couldn't really think of another way to remove them so I decided this was a good alternative to soaking in acetone. This works pretty okay but there's definitely a technique to it and you need to be patient. My first hand i felt like I did the same damage to my nails as I would just pulling them off but the second hand I managed to do it with very little damage done. My advice if you use it for the same purpose - Soak once and then use the cuticle pusher to lift the nail slightly (don't force it at this point) Soak again and then push the cuticle pusher in further and try to lift little by little, but stop if you feel pain. Repeat the second soak process until the nails are off. As far as gel removal, it works great. If you just want it for that i highly recommend. ... show more

  • Works well, doesn’t last long.
This works well but I’m on my 3rd one in 7 months!!! They die so quickly.

  • Eases gel removal
This product was helpful in removing builder gel without damage to my natural nails. There was still some gel residue left after the initial “steaming” but a second steaming took care of it. This method seemed a bit gentler on my nails and cuticles than an acetone soak!

  • Gel remover system works pretty well, although I never received the buffer shown in the picture.
It takes two passes before the color comes off. Less chemicals on my nails is the goal.

  • Does the job, but takes longer than expected
I had a gel full set and it took an hour on each hand to remove them instead of 15 min as advertised. Also make sure to use acetone if you have a gel fill because regular won’t take much off. I think it will work faster if you just have on a basic gel polish. I did like it better than sitting at the salon for an hour for a soak off. At least I was in the comforts of home. ... show more

  • Gel Polish maybe, but not so much on Dip Powder
Bought this b/c it says works on removing dip powder but didn't work so well. I've only tried it once so I may try filling more acetone in the cup & waiting longer to see if that works any better. I found heating uncooked white rice in a bowl, putting acetone in a baggy & your hands in letting the rice heat the acetone actually works well & removed the dip powder within about 10 mins. Be careful not to heat the rice too long as it can get too hot. I heat 1 cup of rice for 1 min. & sometimes have to re-heat if you have some nails being stubborn. ... show more
