The lighting system is great since it’s not a part of the humidity controls and it fits perfectly into the cover. It provides just the right amount of light for seedlings to thrive. Unlike other heat mats I've purchased in the past, this one doesn't get too hot and I don't have to worry about my seeds being damaged. One of my favorite features is the automatic timer for the lights. They turn back on at the same time every day, so I don't have to manually turn them on and off. This is so convenient and saves me a lot of time and hassle. The soil meter also actually works, which is a huge bonus. Another great thing about this kit is the e-book that comes with it. The water tracker worksheet helps me remember to water my plants. The e-book also provides tons of references for the amount of water and light different plants need, which saves a ton of time on having to research it for myself. I am extremely satisfied with my purchase and would highly recommend this seed starting kit to anyone looking to grow their own plants from seeds. I’m an avid gardener and did a lot of research when I bought this set and was not disappointed. Sturdy, everything packaged very well and works beautifully. I love the programmable lights which turn themselves on every 12 hours. The whole set is of very high quality and infinitely reusable. I got 100% germination on the first seeds I started. Working on the second now. The heat mat is a huge bonus and contributed to the high germination. Buy this set. You won’t regret it.

This was a gift for my mom who loves planting and we put this kit to the test for the past 3-4 months and it works like a charm. The lights and heat mat are great for speeding up germination and they’ve held up well. I’m planning to buy a few more before summer for her, she just loves it!

Day 3 and over 25 of cells have sprouted- I planted multiple vegetables and herbs. This a very affordable, convenient and effective way to germinate seeds.
