    • Perfect hobbyist tool
An excellent starter kit for the intro level hobbyist. If you have been on the fence about purchasing a rotary tool, and really have no clue what you're doing then this kit offered by TECCPO is a must have purchase. The instructions on set up, bit changing, maintenance, and overall helpful information provided are easy to follow and greatly appreciated for a novice such as myself. I use this rotary tool for a multitude of purposes. I use the sanding drums for my dog's toenails as a rotary tool is far safer and gentle on a dog's nails. I am a modeler and war miniature painter so having various bits to cut into, trim, sand, and polish runners and mold lines is a major advantage to making your craft look advanced. I trim away mold lines on plastic and metal alike with the boring bits provided in the kit. I then use the various sanding drums to smooth the surfaces down. If the surface is large enough then the flat sanding disc are better. I then use the polishing wheel and provided compound to clean away any rough marks. The cutting disc are amazing when you need to alter a wheel well for a model car, cut off unwanted parts, or create openings for hoods, doors, and trunks. I've also found the tool helpful with household projects like trimming dried caulking around my tub. You never realize how handy a rotary tool is until you finally decide to purchase one. This specific tool has multiple speed settings that you'll want to experiment with on different surfaces. I've found setting 1 and 2 are great for polishing and light sanding. I use setting 1 for my dog's toe nails. To cut I like to crank it up to setting 5 for a nice clean cut. The body of the tool does get hot over time with extended usage, but this is the same for any tool with an enclosed motor spinning upwards of 15000 rpm. I can also see how this tool is not for heavy duty projects. This is more of a hobbyist and small household project tool. Give this tool a try.     • It's HUGE, and has true variable speed
First Impressions: I just got it today. It's closer in size to a Roto-Zip than a Dremel. I've used both - when I worked in a hardware store I've SOLD both - and I have difficulty thinking of this as a Dremel-type rotary tool. I'm 6'3", and it feels comically oversized in my hands, making it difficult for fine motor control. It will be difficult to use this for many rotary tool uses without the flexible attachment, which fortunately, is included. It's not suitable for fine work without it. The case has form-fitting slots for some of the attachments, but there isn't much room for bits and parts. There's room for a small, removable box with everything thrown together, the three small jars with cutting & sanding disk & polishing rouge, and another small, built-in chamber with a lid, but nothing like the organization I've seen in Dremel and Craftsman Rotary tool cases. The case looks to be very durable, which is fortunate, because it's mailed in a plastic envelope without any padding whatsoever. Pluses: Its heft gives it the feel of something sturdy & durable. I guess it's easier to make a powerful tool that is oversized. You could also use this as a bludgeoning weapon to fight off the zombie hordes. It is not six speeds, it is variable speed, which is much preferable. It has a dial with numbers on it, yes, but there are no detents, so you can fine-tune the speed you want. With rotary tools that have set speed increments, you may find one a bit too slow, and the next speed too fast and uncontrollable. With this, you can dial in the exact speed you need for the job. When I sold rotary tools, the cheaper ones had set speeds, and you had to spend more to get the true variable speed models. It operates pretty quietly, or at least it does until you start cutting/grinding, which is never going to be a quiet task. That's on the first day, time will tell how it behaves once it has seen real use. It's a bit soon to post a review, but I I haven't seen much talk about the HUGE size of the tool, nor anyone mentioning the true variable speed, and I thought these things were worth bringing to people's attention. If I find problems down the line, I'll try to update this. If the HUGE size doesn't bother you (I notice now, in one pic, someone is using this two-handed), then my first-day impression is that it is a decent value ... show more
