    • This is not flavorless
This works for chocolate but it has a strange taste. You will not be able to achieve a nice color. The green turns out blue and the red turns out pink. The more color you use tho worse the taste.

    • Nice variety of colors; Couldn't get as dark as I wanted.
These food colors have a good color variety. The colors are vibrant both in the bottle and when they come out of the bottle. The dropper bottles were nice for adding colors to the items. I didn’t find that they added any flavors, good or bad, to the food items. However, I couldn’t ever get a true deep color in my frosting. I should note that I use Royal icing. I’m wondering if, even though the base is meringue powder (egg whites), there is too much water in the icing and these oil-based colors wouldn’t mix well. I was able to use my immersion blender to get a bit darker color, but I didn’t want to keep adding color, so I ended up with something between a pastel and primary color. Perhaps fattier icings such as shortening, or buttercream would work better. I was also disappointed that these aren’t kosher. I’m going to try using these in slimes and modeling doughs in the future to see how well they work in those items. ... show more
