My house has really bad hard water & it build up in my hot water dispenser up to half way of the wall. Since I only use the dispenser in the winter,I need to clean it really well before storing it until next winter. I tried using lemon juice & vinegar but still can't rid of all the deposit. I was going to order the pricy name brand pre package cleaner for the dispenser & found out the ingredient is Citric Acid. I did some research on citric acid & decided to go with this 10 pounder for the value. I used 3 spoonful of citric acid & filled my dispenser with water halfway. Once the water boiled, I shut it off & left it overnight. The next morning I poured out the water to find the dispenser clean like a brand new one.     • Got a lot of the iron stains out of my inground pool!

This worked really well to remove the iron stains from my pool after having to drain the pool and refill with well water. The steps and liner turned orange. The Vitamin C at the pool store was extremely expensive so I went thins route. The only downfall was getting this out of the pool. It took forever to remove this sand like material from the pool. Used as a stain remover for a bad fiberglass pool stain. First get chlorine levels low. Then turn off filter for pool, sprinkle around edges of pool, adding 16 ounces for every 10,000 gallons pool water. Leave overnight. Stain magically disappears! Turn pool filter back on.
