  • Absolutely superb
Size: 88 Key Black
I purchased this keyboard so I could practice on it, wearing headphones, while my wife watches TV. I also wanted something that I could have in the green room to warm up on prior to a gig. My regular rig that I gig with consists of a Studiologic Grand midi controller connected to a Macbook running Main Stage, together with an Access Virus. Of course, the Oyayo cannot be directly compared to my gigging rig, but the Oyayo is absolutely excellent for my intended purpose. I purchased the upgraded version because it has a midi jack. I took it out of the box, unfolded it on the coffee table, and it fired right up, and has been running on battery for probably 4 hours. The action, while it does not compare to a true weighted action, is excellent for what it is and not at all offensive (like many unweighted actions can be). The velocity response is right on. The key dimensions and the throw are right on. The speakers are sufficient, and when using the piano setting, the entire keyboard resonates, thus adding to a pleasant aural sensation. So far, I've used patch #1 (grand piano) and patch #8 (clavinet). I've checked out the metronome and some of the percussion rhythm patches. For me, this keyboard delivers exactly what I was looking for: a compact, lightweight design that is easily portable. The sound palette is way beyond what I need for my limited purpose. This keyboard would be sufficient for an amateur to use as his/her primary keyboard at home and would work fine for accompanying singers for informal sessions. I have not connected the audio to a sound system. ... show more

  • Useful Portable Travel Keyboard
Size: 88 Key Black
This keyboard is not a replacement for a real piano, or a professional electric stage piano, but it is very good for any keyboard player who needs a convenient instrument to travel with, or to practice with in locations where your other keyboards don't have access. For instance in front of your television or computer while watching YouTube piano lesson videos. The action is 'semi weighted' and although it cannot emulate a fully weighted keyboard, it is adequate and dynamic. Certainly much better than any keyboard with non-weighted keys. There are a full 88 keys, with only the very slightest (negligible) reduction in size compared to a standard piano (the 88 keys stretch to about 87 standard keys). The inbuilt speakers are surprisingly loud and clear. This is important as Bluetooth audio OUT is not supported. (because of the unavoidable Bluetooth lag between hitting a key and the sound emitted). Amplified sound can be managed through standard mini cables to any amp. Attachments to MIDI devices is comprehensive and achieved with either Bluetooth (MIDI lag is negligible) or USB cable. There is an enormous number of inbuilt instrument patches, most of which one will probably never use. The basic Grand Piano and E-Piano are imho best for day to day practice. Other patches can be accessed through MIDI if needed, e.g. to your iPad with one of the many apps available - I like the Korg selection (pictured) . A number of other functions are also supported (split keyboard, recording etc). The instrument comes with a useful sustain pedal with a standard jack plug. Overall, this is a very reasonably priced portable keyboard. It weighs a little over 5kg, and folded up it can be easily carried in its small carry bag. It will not fit into a standard-sized airline carry-on bag as it's a little too long, but if you know your airline well you might get away with it. I'm very happy with this purchase, as a very convenient alternate travel keyboard, not as a replacement for my other instruments. ... show more

  • Great keyboard for practicing when travelling.
Size: 88 Key Black
This is a great keyboard for the price. The sound is not as great as a higher end keyboard but I was pleasantly surprised at the sound. It is better than most keyboards at this price. I purchased this to practice while travelling. I am preparing for a piano exam and this worked well to use while away from home. I purchased other keyboards before this one and had to return them because the sound was not good. It also worked well when I connected it to Garage Band to improve the sound. Not required but it is compatible if you want to connect it. Great for beginners up to early advanced players. Excellent for practicing while travelling. ... show more

  • Great price, decent features and sound. Keys are not full size.
Size: 88 Key Black
I am only giving this a 3 because the keys are not full sized even though the listing says they are, They are just slightly smaller than full size this makes them awkward to play at first. I would not recommend this as a piano to learn on if you want to gain the feel of a real full size. They also have a coating on them that falls way short of feeing like good keys, even though they are clearly trying. With that said, I like the keyboard, the portability and ability to use it for recording, midi, or play from the battery out of decent speakers is nice. The sounds aren't anything to write home about but they sound decent. It is well worth the price and as long as you know what you are getting it's a great product. ... show more

  • Awful wiring in the speakers
Size: 88 Key Black
I ordered this to take on a vacation, and did not use it until after the return window closed. This is a terrible product for a number of reasons. I will name a few: 1) When the volume is turned up to level 5 or higher the speakers crackle with distortion. Certain sound samples are worse than others. The distortion also happens when two adjacent keys are depressed simultaneously. 2) Of the many sound samples only a few are realistic. Even the basic piano sound is unrealistic, and sounds like old MIDI piano samples. 3) The action required that the keys be pressed directly from above, so for example, when playing octaves the sounds will not be heard without pushing down with enough pressure. But this defeats the purpose due to having to be "glued" to the keys to get them to sound. 4) This one is just bizarre: for certain sound samples only a small range of the keyboard will "sound". In other words, many of the samples make NO sound below C3 or above C7. So if you're after a drone with bagpipes be prepared to have NO sound in the bass. 5) I will conclude by stating that I am a professor of piano, and would like to warn other teachers and students: this keyboard will harm your technique, because in order to make sound an undue pressure, rather than drop/release of weight must be used. There is no perceptible key release, and this will set the stage for tension, wrist pain, and tendonitis. 6) Yes, it folds, but is that worth the cost to ruining the development of technique? Stay away if you want to learn to play the piano, and stay away if you need a responsive instrument. If space is an issue, and if you want to learn to play the piano, invest in a shorter keyboards with weighted keys. You may have less keyboard to work with, but you will develop a sensitive and appropriate touch. ... show more

  • Best Value Keyboard: Great Features, Remarkable Support
Size: 88 Key Black
The product was astonishingly good for the price, and the after-sales support was thorough. I was genuinely moved—it’s the first time I’ve experienced a company like this. They kept following up to make sure I was satisfied. While some durability issues are inevitable at this price point, the service I received went far beyond what I paid for. They consistently paid attention to my issue and did everything possible to spare me any inconvenience. The service here is truly top-notch. If someone is starting piano or needs a second keyboard, I would recommend this company without hesitation. Put simply, this company is the best. With the money you’d spend on a high-end brand like Yamaha, you could buy about three of this company’s products—and I’m confident your satisfaction would be twice that of a premium brand. That’s how impressive this company is. Overall, I’m very satisfied with this product. The sound is great (the built-in speakers are decent), and with headphones the audio quality is even better. A small external speaker also works well. MIDI connectivity is flawless. I do wish it had a 5.5 mm jack, but given the price, that’s understandable. It served me very well for practice over the past two months. I folded it once to take it outside, and the support under the F key at the fold broke, which was alarming. Living in a rural area with no repair shop, I reported the issue to the company, and they replaced the unit rather than making me pay for repairs. That level of service is extraordinary. I hope the next revision reinforces that hinge area. Even if this unit eventually fails, I would still strongly recommend this brand for my next purchase. I wish the company continued success, and if someone is considering a piano—especially on a budget—I would recommend this one without hesitation. Give it a try; you won’t regret it. ... show more

  • OYAYO has combination of Bluetooth and true MIDI connectivity, along with 1/4-inch in/out ports
Size: 88 Key Black
Product Reviewed: OYAYO Upgraded Folding Piano Keyboard, 88 Key Full Size Semi Weighted Keyboard – Support MIDI and Bluetooth I purchased the upgraded version of the OYAYO folding piano, and I have to say it’s a well-built, sturdy instrument with a premium feel. The sound quality is solid, thanks to the dual top-facing speakers, and it delivers a pleasing tone for a portable digital piano. All the features listed—MIDI support, Bluetooth, and the included sustain pedal and carrying bag—worked as expected. That said, while the quality was the best among the models I tested, it was also wider and heavier than I would prefer for frequent travel. It also charges using an older-style adapter, rather than the more modern USB-C connection that many devices now use. As part of my comparison, I also purchased the TERENCE Digital Piano 88 Key, which has a similar folding design to the Finger Dance model, but unfortunately felt too lightweight and cheaply built in comparison—so I returned it. Ultimately, I chose to keep the Finger Dance folding piano because it struck the right balance between portability, features, and price. It also uses a USB-C charger and includes an option to turn the key lights on or off, which is incredibly helpful when learning new songs with compatible software. I also ordered the Vangoa Folding Piano 88 Key, which I understand is one of the most advanced and highly recommended models currently. Unfortunately, it never arrived, and it seems to be sold out everywhere—including in London and internationally. If it becomes available again, I plan to try it, and may even end up keeping it depending on how it compares. Overall, the OYAYO is the highest-quality folding piano I’ve tested so far. If portability is not your top priority, it’s an excellent choice. ... show more
