I have a prosthetic leg making it difficult to squat. This is high enough to sit and stand easily. Sits securely even on uneven ground. Quick and easy to assemble and use. Kitchen garbage bags fit well. Seat is comfortable and lid tight enough that oder is contained. I used one bag for three days. Folds up flat with nice fabric storage bag. Love it!!! ... show more

I found this Katy portable toilet to be the answer to all my prayers it really saved my dignity a number of times too because it folds up and discreetly carries into cabins when I'm camping or anywhere else. My update to what I wrote below. I took the Ann Katy to Burning Man 2024 and it held up for the entire event and I arrived early and stayed late. I did replace the original bags with a more sturdy leak proof bag. I also used it as a seat when the lid was down, which the company does not recommended you do, and I agree its not made to be a chair. Would I use it again for a Burning Man like event, yes. I'm going to change from three stars to four stars because it does what it says, however it is not sturdy, you have to sit on it, with your weight on the brim of the seat; if you don't you may lose your balance or it may waddle. However I did like the convenience of how compact, lightweight and ease of transporting it.**** Once The Ann Katy arrived inside an Amazon delivery bag, no protective wrappings. It is easy to put together and comes with two flimsy bags, that I would not trust as a lining for a toilet. I know that you add a bad to hold what you're putting in, however, the two bags are flimsy, I'm replacing them with a more sturdy bag that's sure to be leak proof. The Ann Katy feels like a heavy cardboard covered in cloth, not too different from cubes you might use on a shelf. It is sturdy enough to hold my weight and is comfortable. Normally I would bring my own DIY bucket camping which has a soft seat and a lid on it too, but I have limited packing space and I'm flying out. The convenience of having something portable, easy to pack, is most helpful. I'll have to let you know how it holds up at the end of the summer. It does appear sturdy as a seat, has a lid, the traveling bag it comes in has a handle so it's easy yo carry, and lightweight. I plan on setting it up in its own private area when camping, hopefully all goes well. Update later. ... show more

This was my first time purchasing and using a portable toilet. I put it in my small camper and it was perfect. The seat is comfortable and it's easy to clean. When I was done with it, it folded up nicely.

    • Great Concept, But Not Durable Enough

I purchased this portable toilet specifically for use in my semi-truck. What initially sold me was the foldable design because space is limited, and being able to fold it up and store it when not in use seemed perfect. Unfortunately, the durability has been disappointing. The product states that it can support up to 440 lbs. I am nowhere near that weight, yet the sides have already started folding/collapsing inward just from normal use. The top has also become crushed from having lightweight items stored on it, and the handles with the silver clips simply came apart. For something advertised as an XL portable toilet with a 440-lb weight capacity, I expected a much sturdier construction. When you’re traveling on the road, you need equipment that can withstand regular use. My previous portable commode lasted approximately 4–5 years, so I know these products can be made to last. I really like the idea and the foldable design, but if the structure begins collapsing while you’re actually sitting on it, that defeats the purpose. With stronger materials and better hardware, this could be a great product. As it is now, I can’t rely on it for long-term use. ... show more
