Pretty quick installation. I would caution against removing all screws on a side to install mounting bracket. The internals want to pull back and shift making reinstallation of the screws difficult. By leaving the bottom 2 screws installed and installing the top one loosely that way the internals have less opportunity for movement. I like the coverage it provides, this will also keep dust, pollen, and other materials off of the cover I have directly on the griddle. I think a washer on the outside with a locknut would be better for the hinge point as rotation can cause the nut to become loose after repeated uses, not a deal breaker but would be an improvement. I really like the spring loaded pin on the side to prevent the lid from blowing closed while cooking. ... show more

The lid fits great- have not used it yet, but like that there is a thermostat! Assembly was easy, but we were missing a screw.

Easy install, fits 28" griddle very well. I like the latch that keeps lid up while cooking. Cross bracing inside lid would make it a bit stiffer and not flex. Thermometer good addition. Overall good lid.

Honestly, we haven't been using our Blackstone as much as I thought we would, Until Now. Our Blackstone sits on the patio right next to our regular BBQ. Because the BBQ has a lid, we would use it for all kinds of different cooking. Now the Blackstone has a lid, with a "TEMP GAUGE". Cooking pizzas, fried rice, hash brown even fried spaghetti, yes fried spaghetti is now a regular on our menu. In case your wondering, just like fried rice, take your noodles out of the water and drain in a colander for a minute, pour a little olive oil on the grill, add a little garlic for extra flavor. Scoop out a serving of noodles on the grill and let cook for a minute or two, just enough to firm them up a bit. The grill is big enough that you can easily do 6 servings at a time. Use your spatula to pick them up, put them on a plate and add your sauce and your ready to go. My poor BBQ is so lonely now since we added the lid, we also have the flexible urethane cover that goes directly on the grill to protect it from debris during storage (only put this on when the grill has completely cooled down). The lid was a little pricey, but it was cheaper than buying a new BBQ, so now we have the best of both. ... show more

    • DOESN'T FIT BLACK STONE 17" TABLE TOP GRIDDLE.

Its a ZERO STAR ITEM. I don't leave reviews.... ever.... I think enough people generally do it and it's not something I'm too worried about. This thing is garbage for 70 dollars. And doesnt fit the 17in table top black stone like it says it does. Bought one, and it wasnt even close in fitting it, so I made a return and asked for another thinking it was just a manufacturing problem. Nope second one got here and it's the exact same. The temp gage isnt in the same place as in the photos which isnt a big deal, but makes me suspicious to begin with. And after attaching it to the griddle when you close it there is about a quarter inch of a gap from it even reaching the front of the griddle, and thats stupid, but I was willing to maybe over look it. However when you open it it covers the opening in the back to the grease catcher. So in other words it would catch the grease when open, and dump it into the burner. Lazy company trying to get rid of lids that I'm sure fit some other griddle, but just cause it's the correct width doesn't mean it's an actual fit.
