I always need some hooks when I up in the tree to hang various equipment. I try to stay away from screw in's when I can. So I've been looking for something like this tree strap with hangers for a while. My first impression is that the strap is much like other tree stand related straps. The strap: Nice and wide, seems well made and stitched. Plenty of strap length to get around a large tree if you need it. The jaws (pictured) are super strong and grip tight. There's probably no chance that it'll slip out once you pull it tight and let the jaws/clamp to its job. The Hooks: The hooks can conveniently be adjusted around as needed. It is much harder to do this once the strap in tightened up. So next time I will keep in mind to make my larger adjustments beforehand. The hooks seem pretty strong and have ample room to hang larger items such as a backpack, bow, rifle sling, etc. I have my backpack and bino pack hung in the pics. I will say that the hooks are metal - they are not quiet when assembling this strap to you needs. If you're a hunter, keep this in mind. It's managable, but if you're not careful they can ding around off each other. I will cover them with some cloth camo tape or something similar to quiet them down a bit. Otherwise, fine strap that makes hanging all my gear a breeze. Good alternative to screw ins. ... show more

The metallic clanking is too much for sufficient hunting use. Nobody would want something on or in a tree with them that clinks and clanks whenever you set up or use it. This could be fixed with a good sturdy coating to quiet the hangers. We will be using it for other uses such as hanging tools for processing our meat chickens, and will probably come up with other uses as well. ... show more

This is a very nice strap for tree stand or saddle hunters to hang a bow and other gear from while in the tree. What it is not is a strap for attaching your safety line or harness to - so I'm a bit confused by the product description that talks about safety. Use it for gear, have a proper tree strap to attach your safety line, harness, or saddle to! ... show more

This isn't the greatest strap for public hunters but it is a VERY good one and WELL worth the money. This is now my backup rig and I truly like it, I just wish their was a tad more support for a bow. Most people add so many additions to their compound that the compound ends up weighing 6 pounds or more.
