Little workout but Works as it should. I Needed more weight because my soil is compacted. I created this to add weight. First I put 30lbs down the middle post but the metal bracket was bending down the middle. Then I distributed the weight as shown on pic 1. Time will tell about my grass.

This is a very good product and easy to use. You have to screw in all the pins and tighten each of them down with a nut, it takes a bit of time, but all the tools are included. It comes with extra pins and nuts in case you lose one and a bag that you can fill with sand to add extra weight. When you roll it over your lawn it will penetrate the soil but won't pull up your grass. For best results you should use it after it rains or after watering your lawn you should also use it in two different directions

If you're looking to buy a manual aerator, you're ok with putting the work in. Assembly is a little tedious, but that should be expected. They're good materials and I appreciate the extra tines. Make sure you use after your lawn has gotten a good rain or watering to make use a little easier, even with the gravel bag weighing it down. All in all, it worked great and I'm looking forward to continued use bringing my lawn back to life.

Comes unassembled and it's a pain in the ass to fit and bolt dozens of nails into the tube. The tolerance fittings between the nails and bolts is horrible. Very difficult to thread once you're able to force the nails through the predrilled holes in the tube. The 3mm Allen wrench provided was worthless. Had to tape the "t" section together and cover the ends because they were so sharp they were cutting into my hands. Did not wear gloves, as recommended, because then I couldn't feel for the hole. The handle is a joke. Single push handle that should be a full blown "T" shaped handle in order to push the unit over the grass. With a full sand bag (sand not included) the weight of the unit it just to heavy to push with the pole that's not more than a metal broom stick. Plus after finally getting it assembled I took it off my work bench, sat it on the floor, turned to put my tools away, and a row of 3" nails found their way through my boot into the top of my foot. My fault, but still no advanced warning or safety tips on storing the unit properly. I have it covered now with the box it came in. Do not recommend and would not buy again.

Great product, but the 3 piece handles in mine were not correct. I was missing the middle piece and instead got two of the end pieces. Great item otherwise, I just think it would work better for me with the handle being the proper length

The installation of the tines is very time consuming. Save your back and have a work bench and a chair. We used pea Gravel in the sandbag to get more weight. Push and don't pull it. the push drives the tines into the ground and it penetrates better.

I would like for other buyers to know to watch out for the handle connections. Two sections of poles do not have grooves to connect together. I can only connect 2 sections of poles for handle.

I bought this item recently. The build quality of the aerator and its size is great. It came with instructions for its use and assemble. The only thing I would like to mention is that the nails and nuts were not in a bag and they could be lost if the box is damaged.
