    • Bulb is excellent and large.
Nice big bulb. Heats up right away. I use it for my scalp (to regrow hair) and my face. My husband has used it to relieve pain in his hand. He says the warmth feels really good. I know this treatment is long term so I will buy this bulb over and over.

    • Seems to work!
This is good. I use it as a regular light. It's huge so you need to get a clamp lamp. I'm using a reptile lamp which makes a buzzing sound so that's annoying but I got used to it. It's probably the case that you need to get a lamp specifically for this—metal clamp lamp. It gets hot. OK with fabric but an Amazon plastic package, no. I think it's good for sore muscles. I had a crick in my back and a out of wack knee. I used it on my feet for a painful foot day post dancing. I kept it too long (30m) about a foot and a half away. I had been writing and forgot it was there. I don't think anyone should use this for more than twenty minutes intentionally. I had these slightly bloody areas where it felt raw on that foot and I realized this is probably what a sunburn is like (Asian, never got a sunburn). So Asians are not immune to being burnt. So keep a close eye on it. The light is pleasant when dimmed,so I put tip high on a metal pole secured with metal clamps. A bit shoddy but worth it. Would love to see a lower watt version of this. I can't seem to find one that doesn't try to max out the wattage for supposed consumer choice. Oh, and it's painted red. It's not actually red. The heat is what makes it infrared. So people do your research before you complain! I didn't like the fact it was painted before but now that I using it as ambient light, I much prefer the red over any other color. The whiteness of the light does show through so it's not like a dark red plant light! ... show more

This bulb gets Really Hot! It will burn on contact! Other than that, I think it helps. Using it for leg, back and head pain. I do a rotation of changing position every 10 mins as to not get to much infrared heat in one area to long.

This red bulb was tested upon its arrival to ensure it was intact, which it was. The heat came off instantly! It was intense as well. It will be used for someone's sore joints. When that's done, we will use it to heat our food if it gets cold! Thanks so much for a good product. Best to you.

It's filament, not that one spectrum LED stuff. very powerful, lightweight, comes well packaged, so very little chance of damage. if you need a near infrared/ infrared light this is it.
