I picked this item because it came up on the vine, and I have a Space crazy kid. I was not expecting much and yet it became the highlight of a week with several of my kids participating. It is a plastic ball that has the moon shapes and craters defined for someone to paint. The paint is thick enough to stick to the ball, but easy enough to clean up. And when they change their minds and turn it into mars or Andromeda, they are able to put new colors on the ball and still have a light through it. I decided not to paint mine, because I like it best plain. The print is super pretty and looks very realistic. The moon part is way lighter than I expected it to be, but it won’t become concave if you push on it. My only hesitation with it, is that is has a pretty short battery life, I haven’t timed it, but I’d say a few hours maybe. I don’t think the battery life would stop me from buying it again though. Overall pretty decent product! It came with a lot of paint and brushes and decor, so it would be fun for kids to decorate and use as a lamp/nightlight in their bedroom! ... show more
