Hello : This is something to consider when purchasing the netting. Your main objective is to protect your plants and tree's from Birds. I thought last year getting a 0.6 ( just over a 1/2" ) would be perfect. Until last year when I was going out to the garage I just, in a split second, looked over at my cat making it's way to the Peach Tree. It saw the net move. It was a small bird caught in the mesh and couldn't get out. In fact it was tangled up in the net and there would have been no way for it to have survived if my cat got it. I got there before the cat and cut the mush with scissors and untangled the bird and it flew off unharmed. This year I'm buying " Mosquito Bug Insect Bird Fine Mesh " so I won't have the problem again. This is NOT to say this net isn't of good quality, strength, and probably a good net if the birds in your areas are bigger than a finch. I live in Southern California and we have a huge array of birds. So this is just a thought to my fellow Amazon Buyers is to consider this buying option. ... show more

I put this net about six feet off the ground under my fruit trees (plum and apple). It worked great! I used twine to attack the edges to a fence, tree trunks and stakes I had driven into the ground. I was able to use a lot more fruit this year without climbing the trees. No birds got caught in the net. I’ll do this again next harvest season. The holes were just the right size. ... show more

I thought it was a good idea to try to save our pears from the squirrels but I didn't know this became a bird trap. Birds get caught in the net and there's no way out so they ended up dying a horrible death in this net. The birds get caught in there and they suffered through starvation, dehydration, fear, etc and the summer heat will eventually kill them. DON'T BUY THIS. ... show more
