Top Amazon Reviews

  • Very Happy )
It was a first time for me to buy an amazon renewed cell phone. I was very nervous as I was reading mixed customer reviews. Then I realised that it might be a reason there for such inconsistent feedbacks on received phones. And when I compared those reviews I've noticed that there are different suppliers / companies behind, that are doing the actual refurbishments and checks on those phones. So I looked for the one with the best ratings and CellTastic came up as a one on top. So I made my choice based on that. And when I have received my phone I could not believe in what excellent condition it arrived. I know Amazon advertise that there should be no visible defects or scratches when you hold the phone in your stretched arm. But with this phone that I've received I could not find any scratches even holding it straight in front of my eyes. It looked like a new phone. I even asked my wife to check and see if she can find any defects. But all she could find that gave away that this phone was not a brand new one - was a bit of a dust in the bottom cut outs for the speakers. So after that I started to look for any imperfection in its performance. Put my sim card in to make sure that the phone is network unlocked- and it worked. Made a phone call to check the speakers and the microphone - and it also worked. Played some music in order to check the dynamic speaker- and all loud and clear. Camera is unbelievably good - works no problem! The battery to my surprise is also fine - holds no problem. So, honestly the phone looks, feels and performs like new. The only difference is that the phone has arrived in a generic box. But I didn't mind that. As I did discover inside that box the full speed charger that charges the phone rapidly. But the biggest bonus here is how much money was saved without any sacrifice on the quality of the product. Well done to Amazon and CellTastic ... show more

  • Works perfectly!
This is a very good phone. Even though it's renewed, it's in brand new condition. The size is just right for me. I feel like this is good value for the money. The sound quality is impeccable. There is no reason to spend any more money on a phone than this. It's also very fast phone.

  • !!! DO NOT BUY !!!: The worst phone I've ever owned.
I have had this phone for about 18 months or so. It's the worst phone I've ever used. Pros: - Some genuinely innovative UX features - Typical flagship phone perks (access to latest versions of Android, app integrations mostly work OK, etc) Cons and issues I experienced: - The worst battery life of any phone I've ever had since my budget Galaxy phone from the early 2010s. This phone is on life support. With light-to-moderate use, I have to charge this thing at least two or three times every day. This is one of the most widely reported issues this phone has and I wish I'd researched this more before buying. If you want the ability to go on vacation without having to constantly plan around charging your phone, do not buy this. You're better off with carrier pigeons. - Proximity sensor issues (I think). The Pixel 4 has a built-in motion sensor that lets you perform proximity-based gestures such as waving your hand a few inches above the phone screen to skip your music player to the next song. At some point this completely broke for me and now the phone fires off random gestures constantly whenever the screen is face up. If a song is playing, it will pause or skip around or etc. This can only be fixed by sending the phone in to a phone repair place. - Software issues. Just straight up almost everything is broken, without any exaggeration. GPay lost the ability to autofill card information for at least a few months because it couldn't complete the (for some reason mandatory) security verification step (just use Bitwarden). Clicking on any notification from the lock screen no longer takes me to the proper app context - for example, clicking on a news notification just takes me to the news app without taking me to the actual article, clicking on a Facebook Messenger message simply does nothing at all, etc. The phone has a built in messaging aggregator thing that floats around your screen and it seems purpose-built to make you forget to answer messages from your friends by specifically dismissing your most recent conversations in favor of old ones. Running Google Maps sometimes just causes a hard crash - three times in a row the other day. Google does not care about creating good software and definitely they do not care about maintaining what they make. - Build quality is garbage, especially for a flagship phone. Not much to say here, you could probably blast a hole through this phone by sneezing on it. Not a huge problem for me but worth mentioning. - Severe overheating. I haven't experienced this one personally, but apparently the problem is bad enough that Google has had to create a replacement program for phones affected by this. The phone can apparently get hot enough internally to melt plastic. This phone is a constant source of misery for me. I cannot recommend it to anybody. Avoid at all costs. ... show more

  • Like that gum that taste really good but the taste only last 5 seconds
The phone I received was in stellar condition and looked brand new. The Pixel 4 is nice because it comes in a size that actually fits my hand. It has face-unlock but that doesn't work with facemasks. The battery life on the pixel will only get you half way through the day. A great phone but it's dead half the time so what's the point? ... show more

  • Awesome price for a great phone!
Awesome price for a great phone! I got this for my wife to upgrade her Pixel 2. Compared to my Samsung S20FE it's just as quick and possibly more responsive despite being a year older (This pixel uses a Snapdragon 855, S20 uses a 865). The screen is bright and the size is much more convenient in the hand than my bulky S20FE that I bought new for $450 in November of 2020. At $200 for this perfect condition refurb is amazing, I have a little envy at times. If you already have a Pixel 1,2 or 3 - migrating to this Pixel 4 is a piece of case - EVERYTHING seemlessly transferred over to her new phone. The camera is quick though it lacks a wide lens like my Samsung. Google does an awesome job with the single camera but my Samsung beats it out overall with the 3 camera sensors. The pixel doesn't have a fingerprint reader which is why I originally choose a Samsung for myself, the face recognition on the Google works well though, just isn't as nice as the screen fingerprint reader that lets you unlock quickly with a mask, hat, scarf, etc. But she's able to use face recognition for biometric access to her financial apps like banking, ADP, etc. The battery holds a great charge and the phone looked new - it was either kept in a case or refurbished to new condition. ... show more
