This review is for the UNITEDPOWER Portable Metal Tool Box. While this toolbox is relatively small, it’s very sturdy. I loaded it with larger specialty pliers, heavy masonry chisels and a pair of tin snips and while it’s a heavy load, the box feels sturdy and secure. The drawers do stick a bit when the lid is open. I gave this to my husband for Christmas and he loved it, especially the drawers. He has a large toolbox he keeps in the shed but I wanted him to have a small one with our smaller tools we use around the house regularly like screw drivers, small level, hammer, etc. This box is small enough to fit on the shelf in our utility room without taking up too much space. It’s sturdy, the drawers move smoothly but don’t easily slide out which I was happy about because I didn’t want to be carrying it and have the drawers opening and spilling its contents all over the place.     • Solid little box tight spaces.

This little toolbox could be ideal for two different situations. The first is you have a small number of items dedicated to one task that you don't want to put in a bigger toolbox and take up a lot of space. This would be perfect for a soldering kit or storing Dremel tools and accessories. The box when full would still be light enough to easily handle. The second application is you only have limited space for a toolbox and this box fits right into a tight place on a boat an RV or even under a kitchen counter. The hinges and latches seem very solid. The drawers locked shut when the lid is down and they do have a slight latch action to them to open them so you may need to press on them with your thumbs to get them opened and make sure they're latched when they're closed. This may seem like a hassle but it's much better than having drawers than fly open and distribute their contents in a beautiful fan on the ground when you forget to latch the drawers and walk away with only the lid closed. The handle is very secure and overall construction is very good. The paint job is nice and smooth and there's nothing about this box I would say is inferior. All it needs is a couple of drawer liners to protect tools. ... show more
