Love this light so far. Have a bedroom that is not being used as a bedroom but rather an office. Put a huge, bright LED light up and while it blinded me with light, the light wasn't useful for anything. Figured this one with the ability to direct the lights where needed would be a viable solution and it was. I can point the 8 individual lights where I need them and no more dark corners in the room. I still need a little bit more light on my desktop for serious work, but that's probably due to age, lol. This is a very lightweight item. We didn't even use the supports for the ends. I bought the 4-light version about 4 years ago and finally just got around to mounting it in my pool room and bar about a month ago for some accent lighting. For the money, I liked it so much that I bought the 8-light version and mounted it in my gym, so I can easily see how jacked I am from every angle (just kidding about being jacked, unfortunately). I was really happy that Amazon was still selling them, unlike a lot of other fly-by-night Amazon products/vendors, these days. Anyway, even though they're really lightweight, they seem very solid and well made, and put off a lot of well-distributed light. The bulbs are also a lot more solid than I thought they'd be; I'd initially failed to screw one of the bulbs in all the way in the 4-light version (they have to click into final resting position), and my heavy bass music in the basement vibrated it loose, causing the bulb to fall 9 feet onto the hardwood floor. However, when I reinstalled the bulb, it still worked perfectly. Since then, I've made sure that all of the bulbs were locked into position, and I haven't had a problem with any of them coming loose at all. Additionally, there's no annoying squeaking from these units when they vibrate from heavy bass music, etc. I don't have dimmers on these, so can't speak to that potential functionality, but the only things I don't like about these lights is the silver chrome parts and completely exposed silver bulbs. I'd prefer the units be all matte black, with some type of housing around the silver bulbs. I don't know why they didn't make an all-black version, and maybe the exposed bulbs are for better heat dissipation, but even minor bulb housings or black bulbs would definitely make these look a little more high-end. I've had another set of track lights with the same type of bulbs enclosed in housings, and they've lasted for 8+ years without failing, so it's probably just a cost-cutting measure. Regardless, you could definitely spend a lot more for similar track lights, but for the price, these are a great value and all I really need. I was hesitant because of the low cost, but this fixture is perfect for my tiny galley kitchen. There were some negative comments regarding quality, but I find it to be well made of solid materials. It needs the support hooks included, as the extensions do sag a bit, but a TON of light and easy installation. Took me about 20 minutes. A third hand would be helpful to hold the fixture while you connect the wiring. I ended up grabbing some scrap wire and tying the fixture up to the installation plate to hold it up.
