I used these with the Govee H6147 light strips. The are the 3 pin version Bluetooth only. While these did work there are some notes you should keep in mind when using them. Again these are only for the 3 pin connection and the 3 pin that are closer to the middle of the strip (some have pins on the far ends). They are a crimp connector so you get one shot (or multiple if you fight with pulling the teeth back out) this dies mean it holds better than the non crimp style but it also means it punctures your strip potentially damaging it if you must remove it. It comes with mounting pieces I used these with my pliers to crimp them better and it worked great. Over the the connections can be a little iffy but they do work better then some of the others I tried with the 3 pin. I would say these are closer to a 3.5 but I will give them a 4 as they do work (so far). I also feel you do not get enough pieces for the price. I would have like 6-8 strip to strip connectors and the same for the strip to cable. In the end I would recommend these if you are uncomfortable soldering you led strips and want something that works. Just remember to take your time line the connections up properly before crimping. ... show more

I almost gave up on these bc they weren’t biting my 18ga wire. But after adjusting strip length so that the wire jacket was in the hole a bit and folding over my leads so the were bulkier, they started working like a charm. even bought a solder iron after initially failing at using them… thank god I didn’t actually have to go that route. Once you get the hang of how they want to receive your wires, they are absolutely priceless! Saved so much time! ... show more

I bought these to extend some BTF LED strips that i have. Sure, the wires and strip fit in there just perfectly. But I could not get a good connection to be made using their wires, or 22 gauge solid core wire that i had laying around here. I tried connecting with my wire, and clamped down the metal inserts and i couldn't get the led's to light up at all even tho they were find when it was a solid piece. I thought my maybe because the lack of directions, i did something wrong and needed to strip the wires first,l so i tried that and that didn't work because no contract was made and they would fall out. So i tried again with just a small piece at the end stripped and it stayed in but still no connection all the way through. So i tried several other attempts, a few attempts i got a small screwdriver, pushed the connectors in more than pliers could that the metal was coming through the other side and i still couldn't get them to work at all. I wasted almost all 10 connectors, and trimmed my LED's 1 by 1 each time that i wasted too much money and time on this. Ended up trying another style connector on amazon to avoid soldering and they worked flawlessly on the first time and were much cheaper. I'd avoid these and solder or try a different product to save money and a headache. ... show more

    • Perfect for U channels with led strips

I got these because I was getting tired of having to solder wires to LED light strips. I wanted something a little easier, and these fit the bill perfectly. They are the only connectors that work in the standard aluminum U channels for led strips. Most of the other connectors are too wide or tall. Some notes, you can use these with the IP67 LED strips, but you need to scrape off some of the silicone coating in order for it to fit. I also found taking a drill with a small drill bit and slightly enlarging the wire holes allow for bigger gauge wire. This also holds them much more snugly so they don't slip out. Basically, insert the LED strip on one end, then the three wires (5v, neutral, data) in the other end, then press down on the metal connectors until they are flush with the plastic. ... show more

Updated review and rating with my issue and solution. This will help new buyers trouble shoot. Should be an easy set up but what a pain. I couldn't get a good connection no matter how many times I tried so I'll be soldering mine. Wanted to try an easier solution but this didn't work. Update: Finally got the conector to work. I used the piece to connect 2 strips together with no wires. I had several issues for future buyers. First it was a pain to get my leds connected to Strips I already had taped down and I was standing on a ladder. You have to firmly hold both strips inside the connector befkre you press down on the metal blades. The issue I had was the 3 thin pieces you squeeze down will bend if you don't do it perfectly. If just one bends then you won't make a connection since the metal piece won't be long enough to touch the led strip pads inside the plastic piece. It will look like it's enough but for me it wasn't. I redid this 3 times and on the 3rd I was so mad I took the pliers and squeezed so hard on that part trying to break it. We'll it worked 😆 if this didn't I was going to toss this in the trash and soldier my strips. So lession learned, don't bend the 3 gold colored blades when pressing down on them. All 3 have to go straight down into the chanel. If you do that and still no connection look at your connector sideways and see if any of the metal blades are sticking up more than the others or see if one is slightly bent so that one blade isn't long enough. ... show more

Originally I was going to return it like others have said, but I realized that the contact wasn't all the way in. BUT THEY DO WORK, you just need to verify contact. On the bottom, you can see if the wires are reaching all the way to the end. On the top, you can tell if the contacts look far out. It doesn't have to be flush, just needs to make contact. If its sticking out halfway, it's most likely not holding contact correctly. Side note: Multimeter helps to verify contact is made. I didn't clamp mine enough and got 2.4 volts. The minute I clamped it harder I got 5.1v as expected. ... show more
