I'm undecided on these... they claim to be made for excising in 70-100 degrees but they are way too thick for that. I just went for an hour long run in 38 degree weather and they were actually perfect, so I would say if you're running in them 35 to 55 would be fine but any warmer and I'd opt for something thin. I usually run in Zella or Onzie yoga leggings which are super thin and light (though offer no compression), so these HeatGear leggings were super thick for me in comparison. That being said, I did like them and will buy more for my winter running because they have the perfect pocket for my phone! It's in the right place and I don't feel like my phone will tumble out any second. Given that I always struggle with phone placement on my runs since half of my jackets don't have proper phone pockets, I would buy more of these leggings just for the perfect pocket! But... they are not sweat proof. So if that matters, don't get the colorful ones. I got them in the turquoise color and by the time I was done with my run... holy hell... sweat marks all over the place. This is usually the case with bright colors, so I was expecting it and it doesn't really bother me (I'm more concerned that cars see me and don't run me over than there being sweat marks on my bum)... but I probably wouldn't wear them to the gym if I was going to be doing an intense sweaty workout. Though, if the concern is not sweat, but other bum-imperfections... these leggings got you covered. They're not thin enough for every bump and crease to be visible and do make your bum look smooth-er.

TL/DR : Not squat proof but nice material and has a single pocket While these leggings feel really nice and are a good length, they are slightly see through when squatting in direct sunlight (something I found out the hard way) also the waist area doesn't have much give and has scared me with a couple of pops as I initially pulled the leggings over my thighs.

I like these leggings but, they're not exactly "heat gear". I live in Indiana and I went for a speed walk in 54 degree windy weather yesterday October 7th. Let's just say I was cool in these leggings. The wind went right through them! Burrrr! Otherwise, I would have given them a 5 star for fit. (Although they're also shorter than expected on the legs). They don't roll down on waist and stay in place all day too. I'm 5'7 and 186 lbs. I bought the XL.

Im particular about workout leggings- most pants are fine for cross-training but for me they have to meet certain requirements to work for running, and these are great. They do not slide down- biggest requirement for someone like me who has a bigger booty. BUT, they also aren’t so tight with compression that they kill when you are feeling a little bloated. The other leggings I’ve been using, which I love, have a fair amount of compression and it just becomes a little much when you’re feeling a little bigger that day. So I was hoping these would be more forgiving without sliding off when running, and they are. Can’t speak to whether there are crotch sweat stains bc I bought black but I don’t really care about that anyway- I’m working out so I’m sweating get over it. I’ll update when I try another color. Only con i would say is i felt a little hot and stickier than usual. Maybe not quite as breathable and wicking as my others but even for a sweat-machine like me it wasn’t a big deal I just ran through it. For reference I’m 5’5, 135 lbs and got M. Oh and the length was perfect- sometimes leggings are so long they look practically like they are tucked in which looks super weird on my not-super-skinny legs. These left plenty of ankle.

Bought a pair for my wife, she needed something to wear outside, but after putting them on she decided that they would become an indoor wear. They are soft and very comfortable while hugging her legs like a blanket the waist is very comfortable
