  • My teenage son loves it
This was a gift for my teenage son and I wasn't sure about the reception it would receive as teenagers can be fussy about things. It was a relief coz he loved it and said it was the right size for his school books etc. It is durable and has survived all the rough handling that comes along with wear and tear of school usage. It also looks great and is unique as not many kids have the same. So happy with this purchase! ... show more

  • Under Armour Storm Recruit Backpack- Superior Quality
Size: One Size Color: Midnight Navy (411)/Bayou Blue
During my first year of college, I continuously beat on my book bag as most know college books are very heavy. Entering college I spent the money to purchase an L.L. Bean one of high quality, I figured the book bag would hold up for more than just one year. However, after barely lasting a year in college I was searching for a different product to fit my needs. When coming across the Under Armour Storm Recruit Backpack, I was instantly drawn in by the superior looks which the bag portrayed. It showed a great selection of colors to pick from, all different size pockets, the zippers looked tough, the material looked to be easily washable and more. After 2 years of purchasing my Under Armour Storm Recruit Backpack I am still in love with it! It has held up to several college books, being thrown on the ground in class and much more. The straps of the book bag are comfortable because of the cushion to them when lots of weight is in it. The zippers are like brand new even after being used time after time. I have thrown it in the washer several times and it comes out looking brand new. One downfall that I have found to this bag is that the material on the inside of the pencil or smallest pocket at the top gets dirty very easily from lead in a pencil or if you happen to leave pens open. Also, the letters printing "Under Armour" on the side start to slowly peel off after years of use and being in different weather conditions. However, the Under Armour Storm Recruit Backpack is worth every penny that you spend on it as it has the superior quality and reliability to get you through the years of college. ... show more

  • I got this quickly and was quite happy upon initial inspection
I purchased these after my 6-year old son put his first Under Armour backpack through the ringer. His first Under Armour backpack was well made and lasted him almost a year and a half of rough handling at school and at daycare, so I decided to purchase another from this same brand. It is hard to find quality kid backpacks without loud or character prints, so most of what I was looking at were teen or adult sized backpacks. After much research, I decided to purchase this one in particular because it was the smaller of the Under Armour backpacks, had decent reviews and was well-priced. I got this quickly and was quite happy upon initial inspection. All the pockets are lined with a fleece-like material. The backpack itself has a lot of storage and even has a padded compartment for a laptop or tablet. The side mesh pockets on the outside is sizable enough to hold a 32 oz Hydroflask, so that's a plus. I only have two gripes about the backpack. The front pocket runs way too deep, so my son has a hard time fishing for items. It's like a vortex that just sucks everything straight to the bottom. My other gripe: the fabric at the bottom of the backpack can be easily ripped and torn if dropped or dragged on the ground. It's the same fabric used on the entire backpack. While adults will be more careful to prevent damage, the lack of a reinforced bottom can spell trouble for a child. My son already created one small rip after he scraped it on the floor when he went to go take it off a hook outside his classroom. Other than that, the straps are well-padded and overall, is comfortable to wear for both adults and taller children. ... show more

  • Great Backpack That Will Last a Long Time
Size: One Size Color: Tropic Pink (654)/Black
My 12 year old is very rough on backpacks. We always had to purchase 2-3 a year because the backpacks from big box stores are just cheaply made and aren't built to last. So last year I decided to purchase an Under Armour Backpack for her and am so glad I did. It lasted all year. So this school year we decided on this Under Armour Storm Recruit Backpack in Tropic Pink. The backpack is large being 19" x 13" x 10". Pros The backpack is well made and is made of polyester. It is waterproof. The backpack has several compartments. The shoulder straps are extra comfortable and help with back support. The bottom of the backpack has a panel that is abrasion resistant. This backpack can hold up to a 15" laptop with plenty of room for other items. I love the colors that this backpack is offered in. Cons/Improvements The only improvement I can mention is if a tag was included to write the child's name on. This backpack is a huge hit with my preteen who is super picky. This backpack is not only stylish but functional. The biggest plus of this backpack for me is the comfort it provides my child. Schoolbooks can be heavy and if this backpack provides extra comfort it is worth the money. It is also a great value because this backpack last all year versus buying 2-3 ugly backpacks throughout the year. I recommend this backpack to anyone from teens to people in college. ... show more
