This is my favorite cap for using while refereeing soccer. We have to have the solid black for that. The fit is pretty true, if not just a tad large. I wear an 8 3/8 fitted, so got the L/XL. If I am in a good run into the wind, I might have to hold it down momentarily. I wont say its loose, but in that situation, it isnt snug. I think long term, the next size down would hurt my head. My daughters also have the S/M , both ref, and both really like them. The hats sit down pretty low, so doesnt stand out. ... show more

I have a really small head that makes it very hard to find hats that fit..(6 3/4") Adjustable out of the question, has to be fitted. But this actually fit and they're well made and great color options.
