The mother of a friend of mine has recently been diagnosed with cancer and is struggling. I decorated the beret to help her laugh and find confidence in what she is going through as well as being reminded that she is surrounded by well wishers and friends. Her daughter selected the color and cat stencil. After I transferred the stencil, I added paint and some paw prints.
