Description

The Tub dish drying rack by Umbra features a convenient all-in-one design for today's streamlined kitchen. Available in a variety of fashion colors such as this mint green, Tub is constructed of durable, easy-to-clean, BPA-free molded material. Tub's self-draining design works both in the sink and on the counter. For counter-top use, the angled base collects and diverts water run- off back into the sink, eliminating the need for a bulky, unsightly drip-tray. Interior pegs allow dishes to be stacked in any direction and accommodate glassware as easily as plates and pots. The built-in utensil caddy is generously-sized for holding cooking tools and flatware. Designed with sturdy, generous handles for maximum portability, Tub is easily transferred fully- loaded from sink to counter and back again, and can also double as a roomy dish-and-utensil caddy for parties and outdoor entertaining. Measures 15-inch by 14-inch by 7-1/2-inch. Designed by Rafael G. Urdaneta for Umbra - original, modern, casual, functional and affordable design for the home.

  • Excellent and innovative product made with good quality material
Color: Black
Purchased this dish drying rack as it drains out the side (Directly into sink bowl) rather than through the bottom for it to sit on the stainless steel or a tray where build-up occurs. My sink must sit on more of an angle than other reviewers so I don't have a problem with draining. Pros: Size - Small and compact, ample cutlery drying space Colour range - The smoke colour means that I wont see discolouring as quickly, however it does get washed often Materials - All plastic therefore no chance of rusting and of sturdy construction Drainage - only one spout to the side (could easily be put on the left or right hand side as it is symmetrical) Shape - symmetrical, the sides are higher than normal giving it a more tidy look, holds plates in place Cons (depending on your situation): Size - Could be problematic if you don't dry your dishes immediately and have a large amount to wash, however there is plenty of room for cutlery. Shape - handles are a tad oversized, but this is only minor. Depending on your cup size and if they fit around the spokes perfectly it makes a seal and there is no airflow which means the cup won't dry. Drainage - The angle of the drying rack is only slight and I could see how without the additional angle from the sink, it may not drain. Overall, while there are negative points that I can see. I would definitely purchase this product again and have recommended it to family and friends. ... show more

  • Small but effective!
Color: Avocado
This dish rack is smaller than I expected. However, I don't feel limited by how many dishes I can fit in it. Maybe it's the high, steep sides, maybe it's the different design, but it just seems to work great. Even lacking those cup holders that most racks have on the outside. It looks fantastic. Most cheaper dish racks just look terrible, especially after a few months of use. But after four months, this dish rack still looks and works great. In fact, a friend was over recently and said, "Hey, cool dish rack, is that new?" She had been over dozens of times since we've gotten it. Possible downside are some of the quirks of the design. Some may not like the peg-board type design to hold the dishes in place. I think it's nice because it gives more flexibility than the traditional slats. Also, the fact that the drainage is just a hole in the side, forces you to keep this immediately next to the sink. I may fabricate a little plastic extension if I need to move it away from the sink a few inches. Lastly, the utensil holder has openings on the sides that allows water to flow into the main area. However, this also allows smaller utensils to fall down and be forgotten. Not that big of a deal, but it's something to note. For me, all of these things are very minor, I love this dish rack, it's the best I've had. Pros: -Sturdy, well made -Looks great -Works great, good design -Small counter footprint Cons: -Possible minor design flaws mentioned above -Smallish ... show more

  • Love the Color! Love the Design! Love the Pegs!!
Color: Red
This tub is roomy! I can stack a lot in here without stuff trying to slide out. The sides are tall holding clean dishes well and with the handles, it is easy to take in and out of the sink when full. I usually just keep it out of the sink, but if I need the counter space for something, it's nothing to set it inside the sink while I work. I love the color and the pegs inside the main section are perfect for bottles, glasses, plates, and more, any shape or size. It makes easy work of hand washing my dishes, and adds a little fun with the design and color! Cleaning: I haven't had to clean it very often, but when I do, I just squirt some soap in and use my sprayer. If you let it go, it might be hard to clean between all those pegs, but stuff doesn't really stick to the plastic so the sprayer should work most of the time. I have only had to clean mine once in two months. ... show more

Color: Avocado
When we moved to a place with no dish washer I became obsessive about finding a dish drying rack that was practical, stylish, and inexpensive. This dish rack fits all of our needs and comes in tons of great colors. It doesn't take up a lot of room on the counter yet it holds TONS of dishes and cutlery. I mean I can stack so much stuff into this rack it's wild. I gave 4 stars, not 5 because the one design flaw is that the back "legs" are not longer than the front meaning drainage was an issue until I rolled up a towel and put it under the back legs. Now it drains great, but it seems pretty obvious to me it should have been designed to drain at an angle in the first place. ... show more

  • Worth the price.
Color: White
I bought this for our RV after reading about it from another RV-er. It is very sturdy plastic, and works great. It fits into the sink, or on the countertop, and is completely enclosed, except for one drainage hole. It sits up on four feet, so it is up off the countertop underneath. It holds as many dishes as a typical, regular-sized dish drainer, is easy to clean (smooth white plastic), and looks nice, too. This is a great piece of equipment especially if you only have one sink to work with, because you can wash the dishes in the sink and place them in the drying rack, then drain the sink and place the rack in the sink to rinse everything from the soap, then move back to countertop to allow dishes to drain and dry. The sturdy handles on the sides make this kind of process easy. I expect to get years of use from this sturdy product, and am now using it in my home. Well worth the price! ... show more

  • This is a great little tub/rack
Color: White
This is a great little tub/rack. Holds a sink full of dishes. Keeps silverware and small items from getting lost. Nothing falls out, nothing falls over. Everything is contained and looks neat. Glasses can be tipped a bit on their pegs allowing airflow underneath. A subtle slope means there is no water pooling in the bottom, ever. Little feet inset from the edge keep it raised above the countertop, so tub/rack can drain from the narrow edge opening and straight down into sink. This is nice because the edge of my sink is actually higher than my countertop, making a rack and pan impossible. Clever and simple single piece design is easy to clean with a bottle brush. Simple to pick up and move even full of dishes. Not ideal for holding large pots and pans, unless it is one or two at a time. So glad I got this! ... show more
