I didn’t have a tall enough ladder to reach my gutters to hang Christmas lights. This allowed me to hand my lights in about 15 minutes. Easy to use, saved me a ton of time and money hiring someone or buying a bigger ladder. The clips are flimsy, and I broke one. But they give you lots, so I had enough. It’s a bit hard to get the lights on with no slack between the clips and they started to sag a bit. That was my first time using it, so next time I’ll make sure the light is flush with the clips so they can’t move. ... show more

We've been using these for about 2 years now for various holidays. We use them to hang anything from garlands to icicle lights. It's nice to have multiple mounting options too. These work pretty well, but sometimes hanging the heavier lights with the pole doesn't go as planned. They hold up pretty well, but over the course of 2 years we've probably had about 15% of them break, though only when hanging from a 2x rafter. ... show more

If you need a tool to help put your icicle lights up then this is your new best friend. I’ve been putting up icicle lights on a two story house since 2017. I wished I had this back then but it is so easy to use and the clips are fantastic. The two end pieces that can be switched out are both easy to attach and remove. Attaching the roof clips onto the product are so easy but what I was shocked the most on was how simple it was attaching the clips to the roof would be. There was only one peak on the house that I couldn’t reach but that’s not the products fault. I would highly recommend this for anyone. I would suggest if you are using a lot of lights for the roof and not gutters, get the extra clips. If I could give this product a 10 star rating I would. ... show more

Broke. Did a dry run with it soon after it came in, and the device seemed to fit the bill. I was able to place the clips, and fiddle with the simple clips that are still up from last year using the pincher attachment. But the day that I intended to start actually doing the thing, the smallest segment jammed, wouldn't extend, then something in the internal part of the trigger mechanism cut loose, rendering the device a expensive, short stick. ... show more

Not as easy as they make it out to be and if you have a clay tile roof almost impossible to attach the clips if the tiles are not loose. I was still able to hang the lights but definitely needed a ladder and I only have a single story house!
