I bought this trunk for three weeks in Europe specifically due to its weight. It’s very lightweight and many of the airlines in Europe have very strict weight limits. I packed three weeks worth of clothes (using packing cubes) including three pairs of shoes, and this baby is a workhorse. It is easy to access. It stands up like Barbie’s wardrobe trunk! You can open the suitcase without having to lay it down to access your items but the best part is the 2/3, 1/3 split! the 2/3 side holds so much stuff -the 1/3 side held my shoes and my make up and toiletries bags. The zippers are smooth and sturdy, the TSA approved lock is secure and easy to program. The wheels on this baby are amazing!! Traveling through Europe on cobblestone Streets, bricks, stairs, escalators, uneven surfaces— on four different Airlines, three different trains. This luggage is a godsend. As you can see there are a few scuffs on the outside, but no dents, no punctures… and no damage to anything inside! It comes with a clear plastic protector that was awesome for the in-country/inter-continental flights as you don’t have to go through customs when in the EU!! It protected my luggage from the rain, and there are slits in the protector to access the handles. (In 3 airports there were vendors selling luggage wrapping - they spin the luggage round and round and round and wrap it a bunch of times with plastic saran wrap for £13-15!) The extension handle is a Little loose feeling as the uprights are kind of close together but my bag when loaded weighed about 20kg and I had no issues with the handle’s stability or durability! This is a truly awesome piece of luggage! I highly recommend it! And the price is fantastic— I looked at the fancy bags from Tumi, Away and other high end luggage brands, and you would be hard-pressed to tell me why you’d pay 2 or 3 times as much for one of those when this bag is totally comparable in every way.. and IMHO has the advantage with the 2/3-1/3 split vs 1/2 & 1/2 styles! I am absolutely thrilled with this bag’s performance, durability and looks! 5 stars for sure!!! ... show more

I love these cases! They aren't much bigger than a medium sized regular shaped luggage case but because of their design fit so much more in them. I love the wheel design, it's so smooth rolling. The t-shape handle is very comfortable to grab and use. So far only one long trip, but they are well built and I think they will be quite durable. Luggage is just luggage, but there are some things about this piece that I love and wanted to quickly rave about: - The color means I always find my bag immediately -- I have yet to see the same bag, given how much I travel. - The compartments are nice and of good quality. You see some companies cut corners on the interior, so it was nice to see the quality on the inside as well. - Polycarbonate shell means this baby is super durable, and has held up great this past year. - The wheels! The are super smooth and seem to be holding up great as well. - The handle is strange, but I've gotten used to it. - MOST IMPORTANTLY: I can max this bag out, and still still stay under domestic weight limits. That means this is the biggest bag I can max out without having to worry about extra fees. That peace of mind is everything. The value is solid as well, especially after a year's use. Amazing bag, the adjustable separators on the larger side make packing a breeze. The bag is high quality and glides effortlessly when packed. Took one trip with it so far and have no regrets. Will say the black color makes scuffs easily visible but it is inevitable. The bag comes with a clear plastic cover but I didn’t care to have it in during my trip but that might’ve helped prevent scuffs on the exterior. ... show more

I wasn't sure I'd like this "trunk" style suitcase; however, it was perfect offering room to pack for 6 days, this past summer. In addition the shape is different from other suitcases, so it was easy to pick out from all the other luggage in baggage claim. Replaced an Eagle Creek rolling duffle which had seen a few continents and performed well. This case has 4 wheels which made shlepping easier. It's lighter weight and higher volume allowed me to pack more clothing options and stay under the airline weight. So far, so good. Used it on 3 different flights this month while on vacation and it held up very well (other than a little scuffing, which is typical for hard cases). It’s narrower and deeper than my previous suitcase this size, but I don’t mind that at all. Best thing is the extra handle on the front of the case!
