The ergonomic offset handle and built-in finger rest noticeably reduce wrist strain during longer sessions. At about 2.2 oz they’re light and easy to maneuver for layering, point cutting, and scissor-over-comb work. The adjustable knurled tension screw is convenient for dialing in the right feel without tools; mine arrived well set but allowed fine tuning for personal preference. Pros Very sharp, precise cuts with minimal tugging. Comfortable offset design for extended use. Lightweight and balanced for control. Adjustable tension screw and noise‑reducing bumper. Cons / Things to know These scissors are very sharp—take care when handling and store safely; not ideal for novices who may be unfamiliar with sharp shears. These ULG scissors are high-quality. I think they are professional level scissors that pay for themselves with the first couple of DIY haircuts at home! Made of sturdy, smooth, and well forged metal, these shears are designed for easy use and to minimize fatigue. The holes have economic grip elements, and the surfaces are nice and sharp. (The fix is perfect for safe storage because I don’t use that often—handy!)

The media could not be loaded. I started cutting my family’s hair during Covid lockdown and ended up enjoying it and appreciating the extra money from avoiding salon cuts. So I needed a good pair of hair scissors but didn’t want to pay professional equipment prices since I’m only doing a few cuts a month. These scissors are adequate for my hair cutting use, but felt a little stiffer than I liked straight out of the box. But the blades are sharp and the scissors cut well so overall I’m happy with my order.
