  • Ulefone's fantastic customer service is underappreciated!
Why I chose a Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra Thermal: I have been in need of a new phone for quite some time, I have tried other rugged phones and they seemed quite lacking on screen quality, camera options, and connectivity. I found this Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra Thermal had the majority of what I was looking for: AMOLED display, at least 16 GB of actual ram, battery large enough to make it through one entire 24 hour day, battery that was not so excessively large that it is not an everyday carry, at least one US carrier with almost all available antennas frequencies, ultra wide angle camera, night vision, 50 MP main camera, and a thermal camera. I use this phone primarily for work, so taking photos of my work is important and adding a thermal camera gave me another tool for my tool belt. This phone also had almost every antenna for the T-Mobile network and a good majority of the 4G and 5G cellular antennas for USA's other carriers. My experience with Ulefone and Amazon: I purchased my first phone in late June 2026, however, right out of the box it would freeze, black screen, and restart. I set it up, however those issues continued. I ended up returning that phone to Amazon and received a refund for it weeks later. I purchased a second phone from Amazon in the mean time, it also had the same issues. I contacted Ulefone about these issues and spoke with one of their techs, he was extremely helpful and even sent out an update specific for my phone to help with the issues. Unfortunately, we discovered it was a firmware issue and the phone had to go back to Ulefone, Ulefone shipped out my third phone for me that has been great ever since! They resolved the issues with the freezing, black screen, and restarting. It's performance is amazing, I have never even slowed the processor down on this phone. I do not often see larger companies like this remotely care about actual customer satisfaction or have a very knowledgeable staff working for them, I also have never heard of a company sending out specific software updates to for their products. Seeing Ulefone and Amazon take care of me with these issues has been rejuvenating. I have been very pleased with this last phone and am thankful with Ulefone's cooperation with me, I will definitely be purchasing more Ulefone products in the future! ... show more

  • The only rugged phone with flagship performance.
This phone is awesome. I'm switching from a OnePlus open and this phone feels even faster than that. Probably because it's not bloated with animations and unnecessary garbage. Thermal camera works but I have not done any real testing. One thing you should know is Verizon won't allow it on their network but if you have straight talk like I do, you can just get a replacement SIM and be up and running on T-Mobile in a few minutes. And the T-Mobile towers DO support MMS and all the good stuff. If you need to switch from Verizon, Google Fi uses the T-Mobile towers or Straight Talk using SIM B in the kit. Fingerprint reader is basically as good as on my OnePlus. The built in launcher works great but I do wish I could add more rows and columns. The extra customizable button can be used for three different apps. I didn't even know it had accessories like a microscope and snake camera that can be attached to the uSmart port but I'm definitely getting those. The only hiccup I've run into is connecting Bluetooth to my Windows PC. For some reason it disconnects after a couple seconds but my OnePlus watch is connected and working fine so I'm guessing it has something to do with the computer. Edit: I had to enable Link to windows in the accessibilities setting and then re-pair the phone. It probably had something to do with copying the app data over from my old phone. The phone also comes with a 120w wall charger with an included 120w 10gb/s USB C to USB C cable. You can tell a lot about a company by the cable included with the devices and this is easily the nicest cable I've ever received. Tl;dr if you want a rugged phone that still has flagship performance, this is the phone. I think I'll be sticking with ulefone for my future devices as long as they keep innovating. ... show more

Es muy fastidioso que la pantalla de atrás se active en el bolsillo y comienzan a sonar los dados o la ruleta.

  • Hands down the best phone I've ever owned and it's not even remotely a fair competition
Ok, let me start out by saying that I'm not being paid for this review, because I know it's gonna sound like it. This phone is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The battery life alone compared to anything Samsung or Apple has on the market is ridiculous, with my last Galaxy S series I'd get maybe a full work day before getting a low battery warning. With the Armor 28 Ultra, more than once I have unplugged it before work, forgotten to plug it in again at the end of the day, and gotten halfway through the next day before getting the low battery warning. And you might be thinking, ok the battery lasts forever, so did those old brick phones that couldn't do anything. But no, this thing is ridiculously powerful; even compared to my wife's S24 ultra my phone feels just as responsive. And the features, my god they should have called this thing the kitchen sink. The 3.5mm headphone port, the micro SD card slot (which I haven't even come remotely close to needing yet because it already has a freaking TERABYTE built in, my laptop only has half of that!), and of course all the more niche stuff like the thermal and IR night vision cameras, IR blaster for remote controls, the absolute overkill level waterproofing, and I'm sure I'm forgetting about a dozen more on top of that. I'll be honest, I was hoping that I'd get an ok phone with some cool but not terribly useful features, but I have just been blown away completely. As for negatives, all I really have is that I've had trouble finding a good hand strap to put on the back. That's the biggest complaint I have, and even I can't believe I'm saying that. It's definitely bulky, and it weighs way more than an iPhone or Galaxy, but that's a physics limitation, you can't get this kind of battery capacity without a physically bigger battery, and if you already carry around a power bank you're still saving space, so it's not really a con for me, but if you're looking for slim, sleek, and lightweight you won't find it here in this absolute beast of a phone. I did have one issue I had to reach out to support for, and it's left me wondering if Ulefone is hiring because the people I talked to seemed genuinely happy to be helping me, knowledgeable, and so far beyond kind and helpful that I gotta imagine they're either getting paid boatloads of cash, or they're being treated like royalty by their management, or both. Easily one of the best customer service experiences of any company I've worked with, hands down. Is it a bit pricey? Sure, but compared to the closest things to competitors, you're paying about the same for frankly a strictly better phone, and imo it's worth every dime. I've had probably half a dozen Galaxy S series phones prior to this, and you could not pay me to switch back. Tl;dr: If you want a powerhouse of a phone with insane battery life and all the features that other phone makers can't be bothered with including, this is it. ... show more

  • Nice phone. Mid thermal accuracy
It's a good phone. Durable etc. Long battery life without the android bloatware. The thermal is meh. Not accurate to my temp guns. It is accurate of showing the heat difference but not actual temp. Instructions say that you can send it to be calibrated. So if you just need to know if something is hotter than what is next to this week work. DO NOT GET the case it's absolutely useless. It might not work for everyone as a daily since not all apps are compatible. ... show more

  • Most Badass Ulefone Yet!
I upgraded from my Ulefone Armor 18T to the 28 Ultra T. The screen is impressive. The refresh rate and Amoled is an improvement over the 18; the display quality is excellent and it actually plays well with my polarized glasses (as expected). FWIW, the 18T excelled on most every metric as well! Phone software response is as expected, fully Google Play Store compliant, they actually paid for your Netflix and other video support licenses and My carrier (USA T-Mobile) has had zero issues with the same or better outstanding rural coverage as my 18 had. While it's a PITA to be the only one with a phone that works at remote locations, it nice to know my Ulefone(s) (and rightfully), 'carrier' work seemlessly to provide the connectivity and ability to get my job done EVERY time. The camera images and video are as described for near bleeding edge optics, as is the rest of the hardware. Can I control my TV, cable box, stereo from the phone? Yes. Can I also change the channel or volume on the TV from that annoying show in the waiting room at my appointment that is running 45 minutes behind? Also, Yes. Wired headphones or Aux cord because your car doesn't have Bluetooth? Yes. Night Vision? Yes. Wireless FM radio? Of course. Physical SIM cards? Yes, both of them. Removable SD card? Yeah, and hardware support killer enough that you probably don't want (or need) to buy that HUGE expensive card that it'll support IF you somehow run out of room with the TERABYTE of built in memory. Millimeter accurate laser range finder out to 1000 meters? No, not yet. BUT that Fossiphone specs suck otherwise.... when Ulefone packs the WHOLE kitchen sink, I'll buy again and rate it a '10' if able. If you're buying bloatware Samsung or inferior CrApple products from your cell provider, do yourself a favor...buy a TRUE rugged phone with a clean, modern O.S.; they're supporting it to Android 16; (when it's fully released per the website). You get near bleeding edge (proven) hardware in a form factor that will stand up to your three year old purposefully dunking it in her chocolate milk, that bathroom selfie you drunkenly tried to take for the guy who wasn't calling you back anyway when you accidentally dropped in the phone in toilet, or the rigors of testing asphalt temperatures daily and inspecting underground pipes with the availability of the endoscope in heavy highway construction like I do. IMHO, Ulefone only has room to grow in the excellent products they provide, and at this point, they have a customer for the foreseeable future in Me. ... show more

  • Impressive Rugged Phone with Useful Features
The Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra has been a very capable and reliable rugged smartphone, especially for practical, real-world use. Performance is smooth and responsive thanks to the fast processor, and the 1TB of internal storage is a big advantage. There’s plenty of room for photos, videos, apps, and work-related files. The thermal camera is a great feature and has proven useful to me in multiple situations. I check on equipment in electrical substations and it works well for identifying hotspots in electrical switchgear. It’s also helpful around the home for finding insulation leaks, heat loss, and draft issues. The night vision camera performs well and can see in complete darkness, which is useful for nighttime inspections, outdoor use, or checking dark spaces where standard cameras aren’t effective. Another nice addition is the built-in toolbox, which includes a variety of tools and utilities that are actually useful. I have found the “picture hanging” and “height measuring” tools particularly useful The 50MP rear camera takes clear, detailed photos and the screen is bright and easy to read in daylight. Overall, the Ulefone Armor 28 Ultra is an impressive rugged phone with thoughtful features, strong performance, and tools that add real value. ... show more
