You can clearly see the difference in the images. The ULAB beakers are on the left and are lighter and stronger than other inferior chinese and US domestic sellers products. Corning is the gold standard with this stuff, but these seem comparable in most respects. From the photos above, you can see the clarity and quality of the glass and the overall construction being superior. I have tested one of the beakers to high operating temperature near the spec limit and it seems to hold up quite well. Just because these beakers are lighter does not necessarily make them fragile, so don't be fooled by claims that thicker is better. I found these beakers not only useful in my lab but in my kitchen as well. So I will be ordering more sizes and more beakers from ULAB. Also, read the leaflet that comes in the box. I have many beakers as I make cosmetics so they are perfect as I can heat them and depending on the size, perfect for measuring, mixing and heating ingredients. The reason for the 4 stars is probably not fair for the company but one arrived broken. Amazon had placed the small box of beakers in a box too large with another tiny item. No cushioning, no paper, nothing to keep it from moving around in the box. As a result, one broke. Amazon workers need to do better.I did return and get a replacement.(packed well). ... show more
