I got this to be a vessel in which I could soak my 12 oz stainless steel cat food trays. It also comes in handy for selected cooking applications, such as straining a large quantity of stock, broth, or soup. Be careful, though. This is NOT Pyrex. That means it is not tempered and built to stand adding hot liquids to it, or to heat liquids in it. Borosilicate glass is a lesser grade than Corning's Pyrex glass. ... show more
