The biggest differentiator between these and the really cheap copy-cat version is that the cheap ones use synthetic lambs wool. Synthetic does not and never will equal the abilities of actual sheepskin - two specific areas: keeping feet dry, and keeping feet warm. I have worn these nearly every day since I bought them a couple months ago. They are great for keeping your feet warm and dry driving long distances. I typically wear them with no socks as the interior sheepskin insole eventually molds to your feet shape and keeps them warm and supported. In our northern Michigan cabin I use them like slippers indoors. I also use them around town to run errands when it is cold out but not a lot of deep snow. I purchased also the Uggs waterproofing treatment and not sure what that really does but at $160 a pair, I want these to last a long time. I have also stepped out of the car to re-fuel after a long drive in the winter 'teens and my feet stayed just as warm as they do indoors. Purchased these off of the try first and it was a size big I think these were men which is why it was too big but I kept them they are bit water proof but a little water sprinkle will go away it doesn’t support the ankle because these are too big it’s a good color and a good weight
