PRICE: Amazing for a 5 Piece set! EASE OF USE: Very easy to use! The scissors are very sharp. Being able to choose between angled and straight tools makes these amazing for aquascaping a nano tank! The double ended "spatula" tool is amazing for moving around soil, sand, or gravel without disturbing an established tank too much. All of the tools feel very sturdy and heavy duty and I haven't have any issues with rust so far. This set did loose one star though due to the tweezers having very sharp teeth. They are great for being able to securely grab something, but it is definitely too sharp for more delicately stemmed plants that are prone to easy breakage. I got these tools so that I could maintain my plants without disturbing them too much. I want to be able to trim them to remove dead or un-healthy leaves to promote new growth, but the only way I can do that is by being careful not disturb and break healthy parts of the plant during maintenance. These tools definitely help me take care of smaller more fussy plants like my Crypt Wendetti without accidentally causing more harm to the plant than good. Hopefully my more delicate plants will rebound from my clumsiness soon, thanks to this tool set. ... show more

I've had a few planted aquariums over the years and this is the first time I've had tools like these for working with plants. I wish I would've had these years ago. They would have saved me so much time and frustration trying to get plants to stick in sand/gravel. Trimming plants has never been easier and the tweezers are nice so that I don't have to stick my whole arm in the water. The quality is really nice on all pieces. ... show more

I've used this kit several times since its arrival. The only thing I was disappointed in was the algae scraper. But I've used even that to shift gravel about in the tank, so it's not a loss. The only other thing is, the tools are too short for 10 gal. tanks; I have to wear plastic gloves if I don't drain part of the water out, first, so much of my usage with these is during a water change. So far these have been a great addition for my planted tank. The only problem i had was with the scrapper/leveling tool, the metal was very thin and bent after the first use so one side of it isn't usable anymore. Everything else works fine and hasn't shown any sign of breaking down.

If I had known how easy maintaining my aquatic garden would be with...‘tools’ (derr) I would have purchased this product a long time ago. I was a bit leery about the quality since there were other choices with much higher price. There was no case included, but that's ok. Unwrapped them, rinsed them under running water. Used these to work on plants in my 55 gallon tank. They were comfortable in my hand and wished I had them sooner. If issues such as rust come up after some time, I'll update the review. Honestly I don’t have a problem with it. It works very well for what I bought it for. I have a salt water tank with pulsing Xenia that spreads like weeds and need to hack it down once or twice a month. Sharp and useful to have the angled scissors and tongs to really get close to the rock. Not the best for placing other corals but that just might be my own fault. ... show more
