We purchased these to replace the chairs we got with our Hampton Bay patio set. I am so happy with these! the color of the metal matches our table perfectly! I ordered the single fabric, rather than the double with padding. That is what failed with my previous set. These are very comfy and will dry quicker with out the padding in them. The gray material is very pretty! The height is perfect! The old ones were sagging in the middle. They were a tiny bit of a struggle to put together. ( but, so worth it) some of the welded nuts, were not perfectly placed. So the bolts did not want to go in. WE used strong arms and kept tightening them and they went together. One note... we found it was better not to tighten all the frame bolts until all of them were some what in place. ( our last chair took us 20 minutes to put together, , first ones , longer. Then we finally got it! ) . I would buy them again . ... show more

Great chair for outdoor use. Assembly is easier if you have experience with sockets and wrenches. They went together fairly easy with the use of the above mentioned tools. We have been hot by rain and storms this summer and they still look new after all the exposure to the weather. Not too much "rock" to them, but full swivel and high back for your head to rest. Chairs are excellent quality. Assembly was simple and easy. Only used hand power on first with no problem, used the driver second and twisted off a screw right away. Needless to say I quit the power driver and had no trouble again. In our seventies and assembly was a breeze so don't worry about that. Can't speak to longevity but based on the quality expect years of service here in the desert. I'm guessing it's the "powder coating" application that's giving people problems with the screws during assembly. Just turn in until difficult than back out a little and continue. ... show more

Poor machining - pre-threaded holes don’t line up resulting in the screws stripping. My chairs had so much paint in the holes I could not thread by hand.

I like these chairs and I recommend them. I chose the non-padded, imagining that they would dry faster after a rain, though I don’t know the validity of that. I like that they rock, turn, and lean back some - holding your neck nicely. Now to address the reviews that almost made me turn aside from these chairs… I read many reviews complaining that it’s a two person setup. I don’t think that’s necessarily true (though someone holding up big pieces being connected would be helpful). If I had power to tighten with an alan wrench effectively I could have done it all myself. My husband did come in for second string to tighten everything and do the last step with our own tools (shown in my second photo) instead of the two tiny wrenches that came with it. Again, he did it solo, so I feel like a semi experienced person could do this alone if needed. I also read reviews saying the instructions were bad. I also don’t think that is true. All the pieces in the box are shown in my first image. The instructions are mostly just pictorial, clearly identifying the numbered pieces. Even if you put all the pieces in a pile outside their original well marked packaging, the instruction book clearly identifies each part needed for each step. No problem - a semi-competent/patient person will do fine. There were reviews saying pieces don’t line up. For one main piece where that may be an issue (the park that rocks), the manual addresses it by showing where to tap with a mallet. I have to say that it worried me but when my husband joined me he literally bend it out with his hands and it lined up perfectly without any further ado. What of the rest.… so overall I had four chairs. Three of them were seemless. One of them I just described above and the only other issues was with the cross piece under the seat, one hole for the screws was a bit wonky and each of us spent over an hour trying to get it in. Wasn’t happening. We reached out to the company and they responded very quickly and a new part was on the way. With that said, there is potential that I stripped the hole and the screw and that was the problem all along, but it really did seem that it didn’t line up. Either way - the company stood by their product with lightning fast response time and quick shipping. ... show more

Tubular frames hold some water after rainstorms, cannot see where it can enter. All 8 chairs seem to do this and our deck is stained with rust marks and a black stain when it comes out of the drain holes underneath. They look fully sealed to me so how it gets in there is a mystery and I did ensure any plastic end plugs are firmly in place. See attached photos. I like these types of chairs and have waited until I could afford them. I have spent off and on 2 days trying to assemble them. The holes don't line up. The directions are terrible. It doesn't say what to do 1st, 2nd, and so on. I finally got one seat together, then had to take one arm off to make the bar that goes across the bottom fit. Then I couldn't get the arm back on. It is in my living room. Trying to decide if I should try again or try to fit it back in the box and send back. I order 4 so the second box hasn't been opened. Very cheaply made. Update 7/3/24. The seller worked with me in addition to sending for complete directions. My ex and I finally got two of the chairs together. They are very sturdy. Only time will tell if they will hold up. Tip: don't tighten any of the screws down all the way. We only tightened them down maybe half way. This will leave you will flexibility to make it fit together. ... show more

We love these chairs and yes the assembly was a challenge but who doesn’t love a challenge when the result is worth it. I’m 69 years old, and with minor assistance from my husband to hold parts in place while I lined up and screwed in, we completed 2 ,chairs in two hours. The price was right, they arrived a week earlier than scheduled and they are sturdy but lightweight. Definitely recommend these chairs. ... show more
