This Deco Color fine point paint marker is great for writing and detail drawings on glass, paper, wood, clay, porcelain, stone, metal and mirrors. The paint is opaque and xylem based. Not only is this pen/marker long lasting (I've had the same one for years, only having to recently buy a new one) but this marker is also the best shade, has the best shimmer/shine to it, and is very inky. I've made a hobby of card making. I hate when I'm using a marker or pen and it skips or dries out while I'm writing a letter, then I would have to go back over it and it looks sloppy. That is never an issue with this marker. It's my go to. I've tried other pens but they never actually look gold. In my second picture, the center color is this marker, and the top is another gold pen I own. Definitely worth the value, it's the best marker I own. I only wish they made more variation in sizes of pen tips so I could use it for all sorts of projects! ... show more

I got this pen to write on glass. My grandsons give their parents painted glasses (wine for mom and a pilsner glass for dad) for Mothers and Fathers Day. They have done this since they were really small. They have mostly painted flowers and bushes for Mom and we are still trying to perfect a good transfer of photos of them onto dad's glass. We bake them in the oven so that they can be used, washed, dishwasher washed... without any of the paint coming off. We used this pen to write on the glasses.. put accents on, their names, the year and so forth. The ink adheres to the glasses as well as the acrylic paints when baked. I'm quite sure that there are other purposes for this pen.... but I don't get that creative. It serves its purpose. ... show more

Great touch-up or crafting paint pen. Nicely tipped with a fine point for detailing. Paint dries quickly and remains surprsingly hard. I'm pleased with the longlastivity.

    • Cheap solution to touch-up a bike frame

I needed something to detail and pinstripe an older vintage bike, and tried out the Deco Color gold pen on a whim. Turns out I made a good choice - the gold was bright and had great luster. It draws (paints?) cleanly and smoothly on the powdercoated surface. I have only used it several times for the bike, but the tip has not dried out or leaked. Comes off easily with acetone or WD-40 from the bike. Ethanol and water do not seem to affect it. ... show more

I bought for a project I did with white glossy ceramic pineapple plates. I had to color the pineapple in solid gold and write the words mi casa es su casa. This pen is ok for writing, not as saturated as I would have wanted on the ceramic. Do not use to color a bigger surface. It leaves lines and you cannot paint over a second coat without rubbing through the first. I also noticed it will tarnish/fade very quickly if anything is touching rubbing the surface. I tried to use 2 different brands of clear spray paint to create a stronger longer lasting finish and the clear reacted with the gold and made it turn a gross dull color. I did however practiced with it on paper and its amazingly saturated and beautiful! I will definitely use the left over pen for cards and such. ... show more
