With Christmas coming up and a hard to buy for husband, I thought of getting him something useful for his office at work. He hardly leaves the office and works extremely late. He loves his coffee and usually takes a case of Dr. Pepper into work with him at times and it then dawned on me, a little refrigerator for his office to keep his soda cans chilled. The search was on, as I scoured Amazon I found this cute little Uber XL mini fridge that would be a perfect gift. It came in a couple of colors, Red, Silver or Matte Black, I chose Gun Metal for him. It can hold up to 12 cans of drinks and a few snacks that need to be kept chilled. It also comes with both a 110v ac wall plug and a 12v dc plug for your car, home,camper or wherever you choose to use it. Another great feature it has is, there’s switch on the back you can choose to cool your drinks to 32*F degrees below ambient temperature or keep your food WARM to 135*F. This is perfect because he often does not have time to run out and grab lunch! It has a nice sleek and compact design and feel to it. The internal dimension run roughly 8.25” W x 5.25” D x 9.75” H. This is perfect for his needs. And I don’t have to worry if he has a a warm lunch, snack or drinks when he works late. One perfect, unique Christmas gift down for he husband. This "fridge" is really quite neat. I actually didn't realize, when I ordered it, that it can also be a warming unit with the flip of a switch. It will also let you plug into a wall or a car outlet (my husband thought it would be fun to bring it with him to work so he could tell his coworkers that he had a fridge in his car). I do wish that it had a temperature gauge on it somewhere so I could know exactly how cold it was (and maybe the ability to adjust it a little), but I did throw a meat thermometer in there to see how cold it gets. According to my thermometer, it gets as low as 40 degrees inside (and rather quickly too). Just for fun, I switched it to warm to see how high it got, and it got up to 120 degrees. Not too shabby. When it was first delivered, I didn't think the box could be the appliance because it was so light! I think it will be a great addition to our next road trip. I had high hopes for this little fridge, but unfortunately we received a defective item. It would not even power on to refrigerate so we had to send it back. I was a little shocked by how small of space you have for drinks / refrigeration. We purchased this for our child who has medical needs. We needed a way to keep special drinks cold in his classroom. This fridge would only hold 5 thermos "funtainer" stainless steel children's cups (and 5 was pushing it - you have to put the cups in a very specific way. It can only easily hold 4 of those. The door of this fridge was wobbly and felt very cheap. I was immediately worried that our 6 year old could accidentally break it if he opened or closed it too harshly. The hinge holding the door seemed to be very cheaply made - it had a definite wobble to it which is what made me worry that it could be bent or broken easily. The clasp that holds the fridge door closed is also cheaply made - it's just a simple thin piece of plastic. A few too many "slams" shut and I believe the fridge door would be toast. It's a great size - we wanted something that took up as little of space as possible. However the quality was disappointing and even if it had actually turned on, I'm not sure it would have lasted even 1 school year. ... show more

Perfect for a road trip! It does hold a good amount of soda cans. Performance-wise, it stays cool but I would not say it is super cold or comparable to a regular sized refrigerator. I like my drinks ice cold so it wasn't as cold as I personally like it but it was good enough if you have a cup with ice to bring down the temp even more. Recommend that you have it running and cold before moving it to your car. Absolutely perfect for road trips and I love that I didn't have to worry about ice in a cooler and the ice melting and leaking and making a mess. Cord is long, we just got a multiple plug in from Walmart so we could plug in our phone chargers also to the car. No noise so it is quiet. I would recommend but do wonder if there is a comparable product that keeps it even colder?! ... show more
