We felt the feathers were too pokey and the cotton cover was not as soft as other options we compared this too. For the price, not a bad option. It was worth it to us to spend more money and get an item we liked more.

The comforter came in a vacuumed bag, but it was fluffy up nicely after 20 to 30 min. It is light weight and stitched very well. Also it is not thick, good for all season in CA. The king size is exactly 106’ x 90’, which is perfect for my king size bed. You can use it as a duvet insert or alone. The shell is not soft as thought, but it is not big deal, because I will use it as a duvet insert for two reasons. The first reason is that mine is white which is easily getting dirty with two little kids at home. The second one is too frequent washes will be not good for the heat preservation performance. And also the design of the corner tabs is friendly for attaching a duvet cover and anchoring it in the right place without shifting. Box-stitch quilting keeps the fillings evenly distributed and avoids the fillings shifting along time. The shell is cotton and the filling is 95% feather, 5% down for your information. For me is a good deal and well worth the price.

The photo is a king size comforter with a king size duvet cover on it. When I received this comforter I was a little shocked to see it was made with 100% duck feathers. For some odd reason I thought I was buying an alternative. When I got over the fact I’m buying a feather comforter I contacted the seller to ask where the feathers come from and why they advertise it is goose and not duck. They said it is a mixture of goose and duck feathers and they work with farmers to get the feathers. It made me sad to think I’m sleeping with animal feathers that were harmed. The comforter is amazing though. For the smell—yes it does smell. It smells of duck. After a couple weeks of having it I’m not smelling it as much. I have sprayed with fabric refresher and that helped. It is relatively soft over time. I put a really soft cotton duvet over it and I love it. The guy talking about it being loud cracks me up. It does make noise but any comforter filled with feathers would. I actually really love this comforter and it keeps me cool at night but also cozy because it has fluffed up over time. It is heavier which I like.

We live in a hot and humid climate virtually year round so it was kinda difficult to find a down comforter that suits our needs. We knew we wanted down and didn't want to spend an arm and a leg on a blanket. We covered this baby with an inexpensive, soft duvet both for aesthetic and functional purposes (dog hair, bed snacks, the occasional wine spill) and it has worked out pretty well. The comforter may be a bit too big for our bed so it has the tendency to drift to the foot or one of the sides, therefore getting weighted down by the feathers falling victim to gravity, but otherwise we love it. We splurged on sheets (WEST ELM TENCEL DO IT) and a mattress topper so the search for an affordable, but quality down comforter was low on our priority list. When we finally settled on this one, we were more than pleased. I'm almost certain you can wash this in the washing machine if I remember correctly (plus) and it sits well in a duvet (we've had at least 2, maybe 3 at this point *re: dog hair, wine, bed snacks*). Treat yourself to comfy bedding (and good shoes) it's worth the investment.

It’s really a nice comforter. I will be buying a duvet for it but it really is perfect. I used to have a down comforter for many years which was a very expensive and I loved it. I didn’t want to spend so much on one this time but still wanted the benefits at a cheaper cost. This one is so light and yes thin but don’t be fooled because it is warm but not crazy hot. I have not washed it yet but reading other reviews they say it washes and dries well so.. It’s stiched very well around the perimeter and overall just a really good buy!
