I flew DELTA. Even packing the bigger one completely full, it still fit in the carry on perfectly, and it was only 25 lbs. For anyone wondering how much you can fit, I packed for a 5 day trip from a warm climate year round to a colder area. Bigger bag: Knee high boots, 1 pea coat, 1 pr of flats, 8 t-shirts, 2 long sleeved shirts, 2 pr jeans, 1 pr pajama bottoms, 2 prs of pajama shorts, 3 pr leggings, 1 dress, 3 "nice" shirts, 2 bras, 7 pairs of socks, 7 pr of underwear, 2 belts, 3 sweaters, 2 pr pantyhose, blow dryer, straightener. Little bag: Big book, cell phone charger, extra sweater, bag of toiletries, small purse, makeup bag, paperwork for the trip, hairbands, jewelry... I'm sure I'm missing a few things, but you get the gist of it. Yes, the bags are SMALL, but with enough determination you CAN fit quite a lot in these. I got it in the green color because it was the cheapest and I needed them FAST (arrived in 2 days). I'd say the color is a bit darker than the picture, but I like it. The bigger bag even came with a lock (score!). Update Oct 2020: Still in perfect condition and I use it for any and every trip, even for an overnight excursion. 10/10 highly recommend ... show more

I recommend this set to all my family and friends. I had won a blue set from an Amazon giveaway right at the time I was looking for luggage for our Christmas Vacation. It was perfect so I ordered 3 more sets, the yellow set, the purple set and the green set. The luggage is the correct carry on size and the smaller bag can fit under the set on the plane. They roll great and my kids were able to handle their own luggage. As you can tell from pictures, the smaller bag fits on top of the bigger bag perfectly. ... show more

Weekly business traveler here. I've been using this one for almost a year now. It has held up very well with all the travel I do. It is my big carry-on that is often valet-checked at the gate, so it takes a lot of rolling through airports and by baggage handlers. Aside from the fabric being a little scuffed, it is in great condition. The wheel profile is small, so it's not hard to fit in the overhead bin. Lots of pockets to store items separately. I especially like small one on the top outside to hold my liquids for easy removal if needed in those airports that don't have a Pre-check. This is expandable too, so in those rare times I need more than a weeks worth of clothing, it can handle it. The only issue I have is the telescoping handle which gets a little stuck when I pull on it. I have to give it an extra tug to get it all the way up and locked. I went with the green one, and so glad I did. I can spot it quickly amongst the sea of black bags. I honestly can't attest much to the smaller bag. I've only used it a few times early on, but got a slightly larger "diaper bag" from Hop Skip to hold my computer and a ton of other electronics and work related stuff. All in all, you get an awesome bag that is lighter weight than a bunch of the more expensive bags that I reviewed before deciding on this one. Update:. So I've been using this bag every week for business travel. I keep looking at some of those expensive bags and still find mine is much better for the money spent. The issue I reported above with the telescoping handle is the only problem I can bring up for review. All I ask is that you please don't get the green one as mine stands out on a baggage carousel or at the end of the jetway! ... show more

The media could not be loaded. I wanted a second 2-piece set to go with our Travel Select set we got 12 years ago (which has held up quite well, car and plane travel). I read the reviews about the handle breaking on this but decided it may be a fluke and I could get lucky for $40. Well, low and behold, the handle on this, while not broken, is poised to do so due to poor design. Please see video - I hope it's helpful. Essentially, the handle elements on either side of the sliding bar do not slide out at the same time. You have to manually pull the lagging side up to meet the locking push pin. In addition, this is way lighter in weight than our previous set and the material way thinner. The smaller bag, while the same height and length, is much shorter depth-wise. I can tell that this set probably would not hold up for one trip, let alone 12 years worth, so back it goes. After seeing this in person, I went back to look at the Travel Select 2-piece set. The only reason I didn't go with it in the first place, was shipping time. However, zooming in on the photos and reading the reviews for it (which are identical) I'm not sure it's the same quality they had 12 years ago. So, I may be spending a bit more money for something that's hopefully made better - but who knows what that is? We've become such a culture of quick, cheap and expendable that nothing is made well anymore. ... show more
