I’m really happy with the U.S. Traveler Boren expandable hardside luggage. It has a sturdy feel and plenty of room for packing, with the expandable feature being especially useful when I need a little extra space. The rugged design gives it a nice, durable look while still being practical for travel. Overall, it’s a great suitcase for anyone looking for something spacious and dependable. ... show more

    • Quality and Affordability
Size: Checked-Medium 26-Inch, No USB Port Color: Lavender
Used this for a 10 day trip to Disney recently and it was perfect. Large compartments and my daughter liked the extra pockets on the zip divider to hold smaller items. Kept everything organized and was so easy to roll through the airport and get into the overhead bin.

    • Had problems with inside zippers
Size: Checked-Medium 26-Inch, No USB Port Color: Navy
lightweight, easy packing and spinner wheels are great. Outside zippers worked well, inside zippers were incomplete. No tag on zipper that was sewn on the wrong side of fabric. Another inside zipper did not unzip all the way (only unzipped halfway ).

    • I returned this suitcase - here is why: too flexible plastic, probably too thin
Size: Checked-Medium 26-Inch, No USB Port Color: Teal
I ordered and got this suitcase during Amazon Prime days, and after pulling it out of the shipment carton and pressing on it from all sides (my initial test of how it feels), I decided to return it. I did not open the plastic bag in which it was sealed because I wanted to keep it re-sellable for Amazon. The first impression was sufficient - the plastic felt way too flexible, and some may call it "flimsy". Let me say that, I am aware that there several types of materials used for suitcases, and the one which this one is built is the most durable and less likely to crack, but also the most flexible. I expected that it may be on the more flexible side of the range which I experienced when I went to several retail stores and pressed upon a variety suitcases in a wide range of prices from all sides to get a feel how sturdy they typically feel. This one, however, was significantly outside of the range on more flexible side. I cannot say, maybe it was not stiffened in right areas, maybe stiffness ridges in the shape of the plastic parts are not sufficient, but I definitely felt that if it is not tightly packed with clothes, excess pressure on it (such as when it is loaded on an airplane) may break it. I cannot tell if plastic is likely to crack, but I felt that excessive bend in it could rip apart the zipper, or disconect the zipper from the plastic parts. The thinner plastic did put it into the lower weight category, but the difference is not large. Also (not important for me but may be important for many) it does not have a built-in TSA locking mechanism. I personally prefer zip ties to lock the zipper because I am afraid that a cheap built-in lock may jam or break. To give credit to the manufacturers of the suitcase, their described sizes appear to be accurate and volume appears to be not misrepresented. Typically, packing volume is about 80% of the volume calculated from external dimensions (including handles and wheels). For this suitcase, the math checks out, within the range of typical variability. The sad thing is that there is not a standard for defining sizes of suitcases, and I found that a couple of other suitcases which I have and which were sold as 24" and 25" are very close in size to this one. So it was another factor for returning, I was not getting much packing space by moving to this suitcase. This is a big problem with buying suitcases online: packing volume is often misrepresented or wrong, and sizing stated in description may be misleading. This does not apply to this particular suitcase, but does to many other listings on Amazon. I cannot comment on quality of zippers or on what is inside of the suitcase because I did not remove it from the plasitic bag in which it was sealed. ... show more

    • Best of class
Size: Checked-Medium 26-Inch, No USB Port Color: Navy
So the airlines threw this piece like all the other people's luggage, playing the game: 'can you hit the hole in the side of the plane?', and it survived just fine. Other brands lost wheels or were damaged to the point the poor passengers will have to file claims. Very happy with this luggage.
