Modeling and hobby supplies are really hard to find during the pandemic. So maybe the high price for acrylic paint is justified because its hard to find elsewhere. This is a nice selection of colors and the included color wheel and stir sticks were a nice touch. Of course mine showed up like the others. The box was all jumbled up. So I had to sort everything out. At least nothing leaked. If you are using a cheap battery operated airbrush, you'll still have to thin just a bit. A professional compressor power airbrush will move it just fine. I thinned it a little with rubbing alcohol, and it seemed to work good. That is if you can find rubbing alcohol these days. I find this stuff no better or worse than the cheaper stuff you can buy in the big box home store. At least there, you get twice as much for half the price. ... show more

These paints are mostly ready to use right out of the bottle; however, depending on your needle size, some light thinning may be needed. I find that to coverage is good and I get complete coverage with approximately four light coats on a model piece. I do highly recommend a primer if painting on plastic or the paint will scratch easily. My one complaint is that none of the color match either the color in the bottle/cup or even with the supplied literature. I am used to this with pearls and metallics since they are semi-transparent, but not the opaques. Even on a white primer, none of the colors look how you expect them to display. This is not to say the colors are unattractive, it's just that some spoon painting is recommended for better representation. ... show more

I purchased this set for my son for Christmas and he loves it!! With so many colors to choose from he didn't know were to begin. He is learning how to incorporate his airbrush paint into his art jobs and art projects so it was perfect for him. 5 stars all the way!!!!

I absolutely love this set of paints. I am not sure why negative comments, my set was received in perfect condition. They even gave mixing cups, stirring sticks, a color mixing wheel. I am very happy that I chose to go with this set. Paints are great quality as are the dropper bottles that they are in. I used it in my airbrush without watering down and it worked good. My airbrush is on the blink so I have not had a chance to use more, but know they will work. You won’t be sorry to go with this set.. ... show more

U.S. art supply makes my favorite air brush paint (seriously). The colors spray so nice and don't gum up my brush like others do. I think the colors mix really nice. And they are cheaper than some of the other well known names. I've used these paints on paper, wood, metal, cloth.
