A great value set for a beginner fun activity. The color is beautiful except the red paint is more orange and it was difficult to get a decent purple color by mixing blue and red. I got brown and my brush was clean... Wish the red was a bit more true red and has a small tube of solvent included in the package. Then I would definitely enjoy this product more even if the price was higher. If you would like to use purple / violet color, I would suggest to purchase another small tube of true red paint or purple separately. You may also want more white paint and a small bottle of solvent (like Gamsol), your first oil painting experience would be better. Overall, it is definitely worth the money if you only want to try oil painting for once/twice. Keep in mind that you get what you pay for. The brushes aren't soft and won't last long.

I would give this a 5 star rating except the easel broke within the first 2 days. It was easily fixed but I felt it maybe should have been made a little sturdier but I guess you get what you pay for. I think that for a beginner it would be a good set. Everything else was great and worked fine.

The easel snapped the first time I tried to tighten the screw in the middle. Very flimsy wood! However, it did the job of providing my little sister with a fun toy, so it was not all in all a complete loss. If you are merely looking to buy it as something to entertain a little kid, it works. However, I would not recommend it for professional work.
