  • Way more comfortable than silicone caps
Color: Navy
I really like the Lycra style caps and was so glad to find this one. I find the regular silicone (traditional or plastic) caps creep up my head as I swim so I have to stop my swim to yank my cap back down. I find that the Lycra style doesn’t ride up with wear and it doesn’t squeeze my ears against my head (if you have higher piercings you know what I mean). It’s not a matter of I don’t want to pause for a few seconds, my cap creeping up and yanking it back down can mess with my goggle seal. If you’re a swimmer you know that you put your goggles on and then you leave them alone, if you start to try to adjust them during a swim their seal with your skin will be broken and your goggles will leak. As for your hair under the cap, you should always wet your hair before you get into the pool because your hair is going to soak in the first water it meets, so you should wet your hair with tap water so it doesn’t absorb chlorinated water. No swim cap will keep your hair dry except those vintage ones from the 1950s with the chin strap, and since you should be wetting your hair anyway, why not wear the most comfortable swim cap. That’s why I like the Lycra caps, I think they’re 100% more comfortable than the silicone kind. You will still need to rinse your swim cap, but unlike a silicone cap, you don’t need to powder your Lycra cap after each wearing. Swim caps aren’t for keeping your hair dry while you swim, they are for keeping your hair out of your face and blocking your vision while you swim. The silicone style caps work by squeezing your head to stay in place, that is why they tend to creep up or simply pop off while you’re swimming. The Lycra style swim caps sit on your head and perform their function without relying on squeezing your head, that’s why many people find them more comfortable. And because they don’t squeeze your head any piercings in your ears won’t become weapons stabbing your head, they will simply be what they are, piercings. ... show more

  • Don't know how i ever lived without this! No headaches, no hair in my face! No knotty hair!
Color: Navy
I resisted wearing a cap for years because the plastic ones (that's what they feel like to me) are too binding around my head and I would get a headaches. Even though they are silicone or rubber or whatever they are made of, and they are utterly miserable to wear, I've never found one that kept my hair dry anyway. Then someone told me about lycra swim caps... and I get all the pleasure of having my head feel cool and free and not bound in a vise!!!! (I actually like the feeling of the water in my hair, just not the mess that is my hair after a swim). So... Lycra for the win! AND no tangles to fight with after I swim, and no hair in my eyes and in my mouth during my swim. What is not to love!!! I wash them when I wash my swimsuit after each swim, and they last about as long as a swimsuit if you take care of them. Skip the no name brands. Their sizing is not for humans. ... show more

  • Keeps hair out of the way
Color: Royal
I swim laps several times a week. This cap is amazing for controlling your hair. No, it isn't to keep your hair dry. I get my hair wet, add conditioner, and throw the cap on and have zero issues with it creeping up or off.

  • a bit small for me, but otherwise good quality
Color: Black
I used to use the silicone cap which fit well. This Lycra cap is a bit tight. The new goggles I purchased are also too tight. I used to use TYR, switching from Speedo, when I swam a lot in university a couple years ago. It seems like their standard sizing became smaller because even the goggle strap lengths are reduced. ... show more

  • Great swim cap
Color: White
This is the most comfortable swim cap I have ever owned. It stretches on easily and doesn’t move after that. I was forever pulling my silicone cap over my ears, but not this one- it stays comfortably in place. I swim laps, and it seems to deaden the sounds in the pool area a bit as well as keeping water from rushing into my ears. It holds my goggle strap comfortably in place and prevents water from rushing into my ears as it doesn’t slip. If you swim laps, you will be happy you purchased this one. I also like the Tyr brand products for swimming and prefer their goggles as well. ... show more

  • Fits my 23" head
Color: Black
This is the third company that makes Lycra hats that I tried and it is the best one. Particularly, the size; it fits my 23" head perfectly.

  • Fits 6 year old
Color: Pink
Bought for my daughter to try to keep her hair from tangling while swimming. It does work. Easy to get on. Hair does get wet wearing this. Not water proof.

  • Was a little tight at first
Color: Navy
I swim laps twice a week, and after a year my swim cap needed to be replaced. This cap was a bit tight at first, but I wrapped it around my shower sandals to dry. At my next swim, three days later, the swim the cap had loosened up a but and was just right.
