After 10 years, my MacBook finally gave up the ghost. I don't have $1k right now for a new laptop, or even $300+ for a Smart Keyboard from apple. I just needed a keyboard and trackpad for my iPad to continue writing on the native apple word processing app. This case/keyboard does it all. It's super response, very easy to pair and use, and I love that I can change the backlight of the keyboard. It protects my iPad just as well, if not better than my other case I had on my iPad. It has all the hot/smart keys and works as well as an external apple keyboard. Honestly, for $70 and for what I need it for, this is the best purchase I have made in a long time. If you need your iPad to function as a computer running two apps, while typing and scrolling, this keyboard is for you. The only hesitancy I had is that the keyboard part of the case is a little flimsy-feeling when holding it by the keyboard part, instead of grabbing the part of the case holding the iPad. The media could not be loaded. CHECK YOUR MODEL NUMBER FIRST! It should be located on the back of your iPad. For compatibility reasons, you’ll want to do this. This has to be the best little investment I’ve made for my iPad. It exceeded way past my expectations. I have the iPad 2022 Model A2602 10.2 inch screen. This keyboard has a really nice weight to it. It’s NOT cheap or flimsy! Battery life is incredible. The 360° rotation of the screen is a great feature. All functions work exactly as they should. Very easy to pair with your device. There’s no app you need to download, just connect via Bluetooth! If you’re worried about the keys rubbing on the screen, they don’t touch at all. There’s a nice little gap between the keyboard and iPad screen when closed. It’s a perfectly tight fit. The pen holder is also very secure and doesn’t move. The keyboard is very quiet, not annoyingly clack-ey (which I hate lol). All-in-all, this is THE best bang for your buck here. I haven’t dropped it, but I trust it would protect my iPad pretty well. Always keep a screen protector on it, as extra protection though. Remember the main function of this product isn’t to prevent breaks, it’s a keyboard extension. P.S. if you ever needed to whack-a-hoe for some reason (that’s not my business). This is more than durable enough for that, by the way. 😌 ... show more

Open, closed, reversed, I use them all. The case feels sturdy, is easy to change and was simple to set up. It is a bit heavy but not too much for me. The weight adds to the feeling of sturdiness so I like that. I love the colored keypad. It took a while to figure out how to control that. I seem to have to reset my color options every time I turn it on. I wish I didn’t. I bought this case to make it easier to type a lot on my iPad. I haven’t used it for that much yet but will in the near future. The track pad seems to work as expected but I likely won’t use it for that much since I tend to use the touch screen instead. ... show more

Even though I'm returning the Typecase Touch, the product deserves a substantial review. I am a professional over-the-road Tour Guide/Director. I travel extensively in a full-size motor coach with a driver and 40-50 guests. My iPad is my go-to for most of what I do on my Mac Mini at home: Accounting, email, extensive destination information, and a vast Kindle library. I use it to play music and videos through the coach's A/V system. I photograph my guests enjoying their vacation activities and distribute the photos to them during and after the trip. I have an after-market silicone protective case, a standard Apple snap-on keyboard, and a mouse. The Typecase attracted me for extra protection and, most importantly, the touchpad. I wanted more of a laptop experience. First, the pluses: It is a solid, substantial product, packaged beautifully, with a power cord, but ready-charged right out of the box. The rotating hinge is durable, and swiveling is firm yet convenient. The Bluetooth keyboard paired instantly and works well. The keys have almost an Apple feel. Swipe gestures worked well and consistently. The case offers heavy-duty protection. Now, the minuses: The trade-off for protection is considerable weight. The Typecase more than doubles the weight of my iPad. I carry it a lot. Even so, it would be an acceptable trade-off, except that the touchpad is not a computer-like device. While the gestures are touch, one must click the touchpad to select. That necessity slows my workflow unacceptably over a mouse. ... show more

The case arrived well packaged, and was a breeze to sync up. The one criticism I have is that some of the text and icons are small and difficult to make out. But, that’s because it’s a small keyboard. Regardless, it fit my iPad 9 perfectly and performs with no issues.

I just received this today. Charged it up and put it to work. Super easy to set up. Took no time at all to familiarize myself with the keyboard and functions. I freakin' love this thing! Not quite the same feeling as my MacBook but, pretty chuffing close. Yup, it adds some weight.... though very manageable. Feels well made. Game changer for my iPad experience. There is a reason why there are so many great reviews on this item. Price point is an added bonus. If you are in the market for this sort of thing...look no further. ... show more
