I really like this case because it is multifunctional. I like the way it can swivel to different positions so that my tablet can be as a computer, as a handwriting, notebook, or reading a book, or whatever it may be it’s very versatile, and I really like that the only thing that is downside is I wish where the tablet goes in was a little more secure and possibly detachable so then you can use it as just the tablet by itself without the keyboard. This is the third iPad keyboard case I have had from Typecase and they have all been great. I had one for my previous iPad 5 and iPad 7, and just got this one for my iPad Pro 11. The value for what you get for what you pay is awesome. There may not be a better value for performance and price paid. The case fits my iPad perfectly. It is snug but not too tight and it offers more protection than the Apple Magic Keyboard. The keys light up in multiple selectable colors and in three different intensities. I love this because part of my job is done in a very dark environment so this comes in very handy. The trackpad works well too. My previous two Typecase cases just had a keyboard and no trackpad so this is an awesome upgrade. Now my iPad functions basically like a laptop. I LOVE the number of ways you can position this too. It works like a laptop or you can turn the screen around and it stays up to watch a show. You can also turn it around and lay it flat if you want to hold it on your lap with no keyboard. Yes, at a certain angle (45ish degrees) it will get too top heavy and tip over, but that’s just physics and no fault of this case. Pros: - great keyboard — responsive and the keys are not too hard nor too mushy - lighted keyboard in multi colors - easy connection and set up (took less than 20 seconds) - good battery life - the almost endless number of positions - tap to click - two-finger tap (right mouse button) Cons: - trackpad is a little sensitive which took some getting used to (the cursor moves a little quicker than my Macbook but it’s still very controllable) - the trackpad “click” sound is a little loud (I don’t mind it but in a quiet room it might be a little annoying) — but I just use tap to click so this really isn’t an issue unless you want to use the full click Overall, the Cons are just minor annoyances and the benefits far outweigh them.I love this case and still gladly give it 5 stars. It is tremendous value and I highly recommend it to anyone with an iPad. The previous two I stopped using only because the iPads became obsolete at work.     • SO close to perfection but TWO things that NEED to be changed.

I’ve used clam shells/keyboards for YEARS with ipad so I’ve used many brands. Two things from keeping me from LOVING this. FIRST: The mouse key always being ON first making us turn it off. I only use the “mouse” 10% of the time. 90% just keyboarding. So EVERY time…. EVERY SINGLE TIME I forget I need to turn mouse OFF. So the typing area goes CRAZY and jumps around and I wonder “what the heck is going on?” but remember it’s because the mouse button is ON. Then even after I turn it off when the ipad goes to sleep and moments later I jump back on, the same thing OVER and OVER - several times a day! I know many people give most ipad keyboards with mouse a bad rating because they don’t have an OFF option… so I am grateful there is one - that’s why I bought this model. I just wish it stayed OFF until I decide I NEED it. SECOND: The shortcuts for the ALT/OPTION key is different than regular keyboards for some apps. On my computer keyboard, I can Option+arrow across an entire line in ANY program, jumping word to word as many times as I want. For some reason, this only lets you that in SOME programs. Otherwise after 4 jumps, it goes to the TOP of the page, or the BOTTOM. I realize there are some “shortcuts” specific to ipad programs so possibly not be the cover designer’s issue - but still interrupts work flow. For my WISH LIST - a pencil holder INSIDE on the top area like some clamshells, I don’t like the “loops.” Otherwise, the charge is GREAT! I truly can’t remember the last time I charged it and I use it daily hours at a time! Keys are fine, not too loud, lights are good. My ipad keyboards usually only last 6 months. I don’t get as mad as others about the length of time since I smack it around daily…just part of job related expenses I prepare for… so I’m fine with it. Had this several months already and it’s holding up well. Worth the money IMO. ... show more

Works perfect and compact, very versatile, you can use it like a laptop or flip around to use like a tablet. I found out recently when traveling you can flip the keyboard around and hang it in the seat back pocket on an airplane to watch movies hands free.
