I use my IPad pro (4th gen, 12.9) extensively daily. I have tried alot of keyboard cases, and find this is my favorite. Pros: Keyboard touch is great. Function keys are mainstream and excellent Touch pad function and feel is very comfortable and accurate Magnetic attachment is very convenient Display angle works fine for table and laptop Color choices are excellent Pencil holder (when closed) is helpful Cons: (very minor) Would like a vertical attachment mode - BUT, the ability to disconnect and put on a separate stand is great Would like the ability to fold the top out of the way when detached, but not a problem. This is a great keyboard that works perfectly for my needs. It was super easy to set up, has a lot of extra functions when using the touchpad gestures and has turned my ipad into a potential laptop replacement. I love it! It does have a couple of quirks as mentioned in other reviews but they are very minor and to me, do not warrant the detraction of a star. This keyboard works great, looks great, the magnetic cover holds my pencil in place when closed, and of course, it looks great too. I would have not problem recommending it to anyone that needs a great keyboard for their ipad. ... show more

This is the one. I tried several, (I think 7 in all) and returned them all for one reason or another. But this one I kept. All the features I wanted, Sturdy Cantilevered base, separate smart row keys, smooth touchpad with good switch over capability. Good key stroke touch, good-sized keyboard, some the others are much smaller, this one is comfortable. 7 colors too. Easy hook up to Gluetooth, good case, med weight towards the light side.     • Lots of great pros with only a few cons

I bought this to replace my apple Magic Keyboard as the tilt hinge is starting to fail (2 years old.) This keyboard case looks nice, it isn’t leather so I can take it into a cleanroom environment and meets my expectations from its description. Pros: The keyboard has a lot of extra keys I didn’t have on the apple Magic Keyboard. The battery life seems amazing (other reviews also mention this with up to 2 months between a charge) probably why the added weight. The tilt hinge gives me the angles I want. It works with Moft snap case (which is a thin plastic cover for the iPad that adds an Apple Pencil holding slot) and still stays magnetically attached to the case. The keys feel good, they aren't cherry switches but they aren’t too noisy and have a good feel. The f and j home bumps are big enough that you easily find home for your finger. The touchpad works well when needed. Cons: No mag safe charging for your iPad when charging the keyboard, this is known and clearly listed as not a feature in the description and questions. Backlit keys stay lit when closing the case for about a minute and a half. Not too horrible but distracting in meetings or at night when you close it for bed. Cannot get the iPad to lock with the keyboard shortcut. Manual says Fn + Del= screen lock/unlock. This isn’t working for me on my iPad Pro (2021) Touchpad disable is not stored to memory, each time you power up the keyboard the touchpad is enabled by default. Backlit keys are off by default when powered on, not restored on power up to previous setting. Heavy, this is much heavier than my Magic Keyboard, mostly due to that keyboard drew power from the iPad, and this one had a battery. Still would like an escape key for when remoting to a windows machine. Overall I am very happy with this keyboard, I took off one star for the weight, lock/unlock not working and no escape key (not mentioned anywhere that I found that it was or wasn’t available) I hope this review is helpful for future buyers. ... show more

I was skeptical at buying a non Apple keyboard to replace my early generation Apple one which had started acting up, but did not want to spend $300-ish. I have to say that this product is exceptionally good. The Bluetooth takes a second or two to start up once you hit a key, but that may be the same with the OEM version, I don't know. I have not yet had to charge it (used constantly for two weeks or more) and it's way more an extension of my Mac than the old Apple one was. I didn't like the idea of the flap which hold the Apple Pencil in place however it is in fact an excellent adition, ensuring that the pencil doesn't fall off. Highly recommended! ... show more

So, at some point I noticed a small cracked area in the upper left corner of my iPad Pro appear out of nowhere. It had not been dropped, the rest of the screen was intact and fine. It wasn't until I started looking a bit more when I realized this item has two fairly hard plastic nubs that stick up on the base of it that impact the screen every time you close it. I can only assume that at some point this plastic nub resting on the screen was put into a position to create enough pressure to crack the screen. I am sending this piece of garbage back for a refund and now get to pay $250 in a claim to have my iPad replaced. Try to save a few dollars by not buying an apple keyboard, and it ends up costing me the money I would have spent to just buy one of those. ... show more

The keyboard has a nice feel and the backlit keys are nice. However, it’s heavier than the IPad itself, and doesn’t support pass through charging either direction. It doesn’t know when the lid is closed. It has a flap over the top, which is always in the way, and the lid doesn’t stay closed unless you engage the flap. The hinge also has a lot of play in it, so if you move around, the iPad flops back and forth. I returned this product after the first day.
