  • Works Great, no bulge!
Color: Type C - Short Version
Summary: Works great Fits in my case with no bulge The case charging port hole was a perfect fit for the plug It did not require moving around to find a sweet spot to work on my Qi charger stands It charges reasonably fast, not quite as fast as the stock turbo chargers but faster than most. While charging the phone warmed up a bit but never got warmer than with the Motorola stock chargers came It looks good and does not stick out on my setup in any way that detracts from the "look" of our phones. The longer version: We had wireless charging Windows Lumia 735 phones and bought two double coil charger stands that worked great five years back and have been in a drawer for 2 or three years since we got our two Motorola Z phones and then the newer Z3s . Now, we have our second set of Motorola Z phones, because Microsoft dropped phone support. But the Moto Z3s do not have built in wireless charging and use the USB C connectors. I had seen several of these advertised and hesitated because there were more than a few. I had to buy several chargers until we found the ones in the pictures. I was sure this was going to be a series of experiments and costly. I was hoping to find one that had Motorola on the list this had a moto but not my model in the list. I just wanted fast charging, no overheating, and not have to buy another case as the Motorola Z series is not very supported any more by Motorola. I might as well have thrown darts to choose and somehow lucked out! It came fast, in great packaging, and looked too simple. I was leery because I have the Speck thin but very protective case. I was sure it was going to bulge or look bad. My Speck case is one piece very good protection but covers the Moto Z series Mod connectors on the back. We had the original Z phones and bought the mods for them. We kept those phones just to use the Projector, the JBL speaker. WE have two battery packs that do wirelessly charge but made them too big for any case to go over them both, phone with battery pack attached to the back. I also thought the charging port hole on the case might be too small and bulge there. It fit perfectly! The only adjusting I had to do was to pop the silver head through the charge port in the case and it was a perfect fit! Then I charged my phone on it for the first time. These Qi double coil wireless charging stands I have had for 5 years (and two years in the drawer) do not need the phone to be in any particular position just upright as in the pics. It charged at a slower rate than the Motorola fast chargers that came with our two Motorola phones. But the charging speed was much faster than I expected. I am fine since I have one at my desk and my nightstand. My new car (Tesla Model Y) has navigation so the big drain for my phone is gone. And it has a wireless charging pad built into the car and this wireless adapter works great there too. Much better than keeping the phone connected by wire to use Nav for prolonged periods. I love the big screen in the Tesla for nav as I don't need reading glasses to use it, or have non polarized sunglasses to see my navigation maps on the relatively tiny 6.3" screen If you want wireless charging this is the ticket. Make sure you get a two coil at least 1.5 A (1500mA) wireless Qi charger and your results should be as exceptional as mine. Get one! I'm so glad I lucked out with this with no one I know recommending it. ... show more

  • Great wireless charging pad for vehicles that have onboard wireless charging.
Color: Micro USB Narrow-side Up
Great gadget. Charges my phone up 10% average per half hour driving time. This wireless charger is rated at 5 volt DC at 1 amp max and so is my phone. Be sure your phones are rated at the charger's voltage and amperage ratings for proper charging. Charger get warm to warm hot during operation. So far, either hotter temperatures outside or if charger is not direct center with the coil pad in the wireless charging compartment can affect how hot the charger gets. The plastic material could be more durable than what was used to conceal the coil. Be careful on how you pull out the usb plug on the wireless charging pad. It is flimsy and hard to get a grip on. I have a Hyundai Elantra Limited Sedan vehicle. The charger works great in my car, but the way each vehicle's built in wireless charger is made and how it functions can be different in performance and compatibility. Always check the make and model of the built in wireless charger and the pad that you will buy. My car has an indicator light to tell me when the phone is done charging. It may not work depending on the type of built in charger or charging pad you have or if their are different compatible brands being used. Mine does not work in my vehicle Probably because of this brand of charger. For good precaution, remove the phone from the charger once it is done charging. Check the phone's percentage of battery if it is full if the indicator light does not work on your vehicle. I am not sure what would happen if the phone that is fully charged is left in the wireless charging compartment. For regular charging with a usb cable and a wall adapter I am not worried knowing there are regulating electronics inside that do not let the phone overcharge which may then lead to overheating. Hope this information is helpful on this type of wireless charging pad. All this information are tips for any wireless charging pad on the market out there. So far, this brand for this charging pad in my opinion is one of the best for vehicle charging. ... show more

  • Doesn't work with Tital brand waterproof case
Color: Type C - Short Version
This receiver worked perfectly when used only with my Samsung Galaxy A53 5G phone. Charged fast when using a correct fast charging wireless base. Charged slowly when using a lower powered wireless charging base. I decided since I spend a lot of time wading in mountain rivers with very uneven rocky bottoms, waving a stick at the fish, maybe I should get a waterproof case. Went to the local store and picked up a Tidal brand Body Glove 100% waterproof case. It's a 2 piece rubber case with clear covers front and back. Has a secure seal with IP69K and 1P68 certifications. Waterproof to 2 meters for 30 minutes. Not only has a secure seal all around the edges, but a thick, attached rubber plug seal that goes into the area where the USB C charging plug inserts. Makes the case completely waterproof. The problem is, the USB C connector on this receiver, when plugged into the phone, and placed into the case, sticks out so much it won't allow the attached waterproof seal plug to insert into the case and provide a waterproof seal at the USB C charging port. So the entire waterproofing security of this case is defeated by the USB C connector on this receiver being too thick. If I ever take the phone out of the case again, I will attach this receiver and use wireless charging. But as long as the phone is in this case, I will have to use the traditional USB C charging cables. Too bad, was hoping wireless charging would be possible with the phone in the waterproof case. ... show more
